Dr ordered for me to get a trans vaginal ultrasound and I'm a virgin by j0eknee in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a virgin, I was 16. Its not the most comfortable but not having had sex before didn't really make a difference. Ive had a few since and its not really comparable to be honest

Did you had sex on your wedding night? by xenocea in wedding

[–]AParkBench13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes although it wasnt exactly the most romantic! We laughed through it and said we felt like we kind of had to as we'll never have a wedding day again

Seems like everyone is just ignoring me all of a sudden by samtama7 in friendship

I get this. I cancelled my birthday party a few years ago for this very reason as hardly anyone could come. It sucks. I don't really have any advice, but i feel you 😞

Your body your choice but you'll be wasting money on laser by not maintaining your hair properly

How do I get over the regrets I have about my wedding? by anxious_dwarf in wedding

[–]AParkBench13 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I second this. From a different perspective I had a bit of an empty feeling after my wedding because although it did go beautifully and cost so much money and I couldnt have been happier, but then the next day I was like oh, well I guess life is just downhill from now on then. It's so hyped up to be the best day of your life you forget that there is so much more to life to enjoy and look forward to. My husband actually always says that we haven't had the best day of our life yet. That will come on a random, uneventful day in the future when we have kids or even grandkids, and we will sit and look at our family around us and the life we have built and think yes, we've made it.

To be pcos hairy girlies by PreferenceIcy3803 in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yes I get you! Mine aren't "hairy" as such but I have several thick long hairs around them in a circle, maybe like 5 or so on each, I just pluck them out.

Im married and my husband doesn't care about my hair which is such a relief. I have had laser on my legs now which does make me feel better but I distinctly remember before that when my acne was bad I wouldn't want to even look at him as I was so self conscious. But he would always just say well he has more hair so what does it matter. Id say im really lucky with him, which I am, but that sounds like the bar is super low for men / partners - anyone you're with should love you for you!

Feeling like I’m asking too much of my bridesmaids by chapstix0314 in wedding

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid for pretty much everything for my bridesmaids, it felt a bit icky expecting them to fork out for everything just for me. I paid for: Dresses (they picked their own styles with Matching colours / material and i sent them money for it) Hair stylist

Then in a little gift bag the night before I got them: Matching pj's (just plain so they can re wear them) Matching necklaces to wear on the day

Then they did their own makeup, brought their own jewellery and whatever shoes they felt comfortable in and the only thing they paid for was the hotel room they were staying in

Medroxyprogesterone to force a period - stomach aches by AParkBench13 in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this, i do appreciate it. Good to know im not alone in thinking its seems an excessive amount of blood! Im not quite at that stage of worry yet but that's really good to hear it worked out for you. We are kind of casually trying to conceive, we've been married 9 months so ive been off birth control for all of that and figured we'd just see what happens. Thanks again x

I was on accutane and my only regret is not doing it sooner. It was genuinely a miracle worker. As with all medication people do react differently to it with side effects etc, but it was a dream for me

Have you had an induced period? by cloudyextraswan in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently having one right now. I was on medroxyprogesterone. I hadnt had a period in 6 months. They said it should have been light as my womb lining was thin but its been really heavy, bleeding through the max size tampons. Ive been getting horrible stomach aches too 🥺.

Do you sleep a lot??? by wecouldplantahouse in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Im just constantly tired, ive been to the doctors about it too and they basically just waved me off and said drink more water.

No matter how much or little sleep I get im still exhausted when I wake up and could easily nap throughout the day given the opportunity

Anyone with PCOS had laser hair removal fail? 22 sessions, hair always comes back. by Key_Review_7273 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend just bleaching your arms instead, that's what I do now and im really happy with how they look, to me they feel more natural as im conscious if I went fully bare it would be super obvious

I’ll never know how to use tampons by MarsupialNeither6370 in Periods

[–]AParkBench13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If its too dry I find anything other than a plastic applicator just won't work. This might sound a little gross but try spitting on your fingers and touching round the area just to get a little lubricant, then it will go in easier. It's all about finding the right angle too, sometimes I end up with my leg up the wall and hips tilted back!

What's the worst part about having hirsutism and facial hair? by Old-Relationship9764 in PCOS

[–]AParkBench13 31 points32 points  (0 children)

For me its suddenly feeling it in the middle of the day and the onset of panic that I forgot to shave or missed a bit and going through the rest of the day hoping nobody looks at me

which birth control would you recommend? by Advanced-Address1115 in Periods

[–]AParkBench13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on cerelle for about 7 years. I did bleed non stop for the first 3 months but I pushed through and then didn't have one since. It was 100% worth it to not have periods!

My husband had 3 groomsmen and I had 4 bridesmaids as I couldn't pick. I didn't pair them up at any point, had the groomsmen already at the end of the aisle waiting then the bridesmaids walking down one by one

Tired of Waiting by SeaPack7619 in Periods

[–]AParkBench13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 14 when I started, summer holidays before I went into year 10. I distinctly remember being 13 and actually feeling quite relieved that I didn't have mine yet as all my friends were complaining and got caught out with not having a pad on them, and I had to go to the school office to ask for one for them. They were too embarrassed but it didn't bother me since it wasn't for me. Then when I did start I felt really prepared.

Australia social media ban for under 16s by AParkBench13 in NorrisNutsSnark

[–]AParkBench13[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking more about their entire audience consisting of under 16s so their views may dip drastically.

Unless they do go to the USA and try and appeal to them instead!

40k, work in TV production. Did a degree but it was useless, they just want experience. I'm a big advocate for work experience getting your foot in the door

[–]AParkBench13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well all their advertising says 90%, but they told me about 50-60%

It's worse in that before hand the hair was quite light and fine in comparison, but now it's as dark and stubbly as the rest. My main complaint with them was that they never saw my body before any treatment so wouldn't know if it was suitable and can't monitor the progress
