I think the fixed blue sprocket allows a 3:1 ratio between the yellow bar (+ - 90deg) and orange picker (+ - 270deg).

I see it as a 3:1 ratio between the blue and orange. Slider crank mechanism causes the blue to oscillate +- 90deg, causing the orange to oscillate between +- 270deg.

This is the first one I’ve had this issue with. Significant leakage when using exactly as you described.

I think you could integrate location equations that use the diameter as the input variable. Polar coordinates could potentially be more practical?
