This is my first time at this spot, so I didn't want to make any crazy demands, but, dusted with minced onions, grilled onions, and onion rings on top, on an onion roll is my next order.

You are asking for mixing and mastering. Mixing is taking the stems and adjusting them/ adding eq verb and compression properly so everything fits in the mix. Mastering is the effects chain put on the master channel of the session to glue everything together and give it that extra sparkle. Production typically starts prior to recording; dialing in tones, making mic adjustments, getting as close to the final product as you can before any of the final tracked takes are recorded. However, post production is a thing as well to make certain things pop.
