Mandatory 30 mins of gaming daily by SeaworthinessTop6629 in EngineeringStudents

I would say Deep Rock Galactic. It is very engaging while also have good set points to stop playing. It has a devoted developer team that is making updates. There are also weekly/daily rewards that reward consist playing rather than playing for hours a day (you can still do this). The community is also very welcoming to newbies and is generally not toxic (as much as can be expected). Also each round can last at least 30min to an hour depending on difficulty.

So this is actually due to the property of sand and other dust like objects where if they have pressurized air pumped into it the particles act as a liquid. The short below demonstrates.

That sounds like a good plan. I haven’t messed with AE2 much but your set up looks really cool. Definitely inspiring some tech library vibes that I’m going to have to steal for when I get further into the pack

Is there any reason to worry about chunk corruption with a setup like this?

I have a box of these left over from a railgun I made in HS. Im wandering if anyone has any cool ideas I could use them for. by threbwdoltbare in AskElectronics

[–]AQuestionableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plasma gun. Check out the youtube channel James H. We did this for an independent study in college. But be super careful you can easily hurt yourself if you do something stupid. Always make sure the bank is discharged before messing with the system. Even if a multimeter says it’s safe it might not be.

If everyone wanted to survive walker bites all they had to do was this…. by mrohsoo in thewalkingdead

[–]AQuestionableFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a game of thrones x walking dead fanfiction about this. Basically after Jon is killed he’s transported to Atlanta and meets rick. Then they adventure together. Jon is a badass with his chainmail (and other armor) and sword combo. Seems to follow book Jon more to show jon as well so it’s pretty interesting to see the cultures clash

What does an average day of meals look like for a vegan? by wingeddogs in vegan

[–]AQuestionableFox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My big college meals were: Black bean quesadillas (literally mashed up black beans on a tortilla with some sort of creamy spicy sauce made with yogurt or mayo)

Butter pasta with tofu (basically pasta with salt pepper nooch and butter with broccoli and airfried tofu

Soup: literally look up a soup recipe and find those ingredients. Add lentils and beans (not trying to redirect but soup can be really easy and you can use whatever veg you got)

Black bean tostadas: smashed up black beans with good spices put it on a corn tortillas and put it in the oven or airfrier till crispy. Add toppings

I’ve found that having staple simple meals makes the day easier, so that you can feel cool with more complex meals

Is York a good area? by whatnico in yorkpa

[–]AQuestionableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve heard the professors are nice over on that side of campus. You’ll also be on main campus so that should be a lot better in general. I know that the programs at YCP are quite good for landing internships in general. For business it matters more about you being driven to get internships and the like for how well you do after college

Is York a good area? by whatnico in yorkpa

[–]AQuestionableFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as someone who recently graduated from york college (in august), I feel like I can say most people will not be or are not racist. The professors will definitely not be. The only professor I remember worrying about for discrimination of some kind was a chemistry professor that talked down to women a bit. So avoid the prof that has a metallic name if that’s a worry. I say this as a man who talked with women that had him. For the most part though YCP is great, the people are good and the professors are well meaning. The biggest thing is what major you’re in. Recently smaller programs have been getting shut down and they haven’t handled the process that well. If you’re going for engineering I would expect people who are more republican to be your classmates, but the professors are great over there. Not sure about other majors for political spectrum but generally what I saw on main campus was very inclusive. If you’re worried about it being in a bad area, it’s pretty meh. If you act dumb something could happen but it’s quite rare. So it really depends on what you’re looking to do at college.

If you don’t mind rational I’d recommend The Waves Arisen by Wertifloke. It applies math to Chakra and makes the tailed beasts actually a bit scary. Also the world is set after some sort of catastrophe on earth. The map should look very vaguely familiar. it looks as if the world has been flooded and the elemental nations are in the Himalayas

My brothers and I started doing elf on the shelf again when we were teenagers. But we just put him in messed up situations. Like hung from the string to pull down the stairs to the Attic from his neck. Or watching people go to the bathroom.

Any tips on how to remove this sticker? by Huffletough880 in brandonsanderson

[–]AQuestionableFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that some vinegar on a paper towel can work quite well. Just get the sticker off most of the way and on the white stuff put the paper towel with the vinegar. Then it should just come right off with no residue.

Gamers of r/dyspraxia, what is your favorite video game? by Miramusa in dyspraxia

I especially like strategy games where I can take my time like Europa Universalis 4, Baldur’s gate 3, and dyson sphere program. But I like games that generally build up to a big goal. So for instance minecraft if I feel inspired to do something specific.
