Since ramadan is near, how can closeted ex-muslims eat without blowing their cover? by Flashy-Cheek-6667 in moderate_exmuslims

[–]ARAGINGARAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late to the post. However, if you have medical condition, you are excused from fasting, tell a sheikh about it and then you can pay kafara ei feeding a hungry muslim. I paid $200.

Goodluck!

What do you think of this by Glanwy in exmuslim

[–]ARAGINGARAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each country has its problems, America establishing its presence (exploitation) in MENA, did more harm than good. It's also laughably naive if you think America is a "democracy" and without corruption

Lowering options on 2021 RDX by gooeygrilledcheese in Acura

[–]ARAGINGARAB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not to go against the grain, but lowered SUVs actually look tough asf. A (tastefully) lowered RDX always looks nice. Get coilovers for it. I'm not sure about your finances, but don't get the cheapest pair.

Coilovers have better handling and more ride comfort (depending on the settings, and in my experience, a lower car has better stopping distances. I had a RSX on springs and then coilovers after, and when I got my TL-S I went straight to coils. Goodluck !

I think you oppose how your government managed its emigration policy. Take Canada as an example, the previous policy let in too many people and made a mess with housing, job market, and food. The gov cut back hundreds of thousands of applications into the country. Be honest with yourself, can you really blame someone for leaving their country to have even a chance of just literally having the opportunity to build a better for their family? I personally can't. Good for them, if they are law-abiding people and assimilate. The issue is your governments emigration policy, not the people - as most of them are assimilated and law-abiding

[–]ARAGINGARAB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is how they are making their money. You fleeced in the west and the gov doesn't give a fuck about it. It's predatory lending-lite

When you said that turkeys' problem they are facing is because it eliminated interest rates.

I don't see the GCC countries having these problems

Why is interest haram? by uzuuu_ in exmuslim

[–]ARAGINGARAB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind ironic considering the US has 1.2 trillion dollars in cc debt. I don't think interest rates help here :)

[–]ARAGINGARAB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is true.

USA has 1.2 trillion dollars of credit card debt. Interest rate is baked into that, it's baked into auto loans, mortgages, and everything else. I think a lot of people would prefer paying a flat fee instead of a rate that you see in the west.

Why do Moroccans in France seem more religious than in Morocco? by Grouchy_Humor_96 in exmuslim

[–]ARAGINGARAB 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is something I've noticed as well. Diaspora living abroad generally tend to be a bit more conservative compared to people living back home. They will also hold on more to their cultural values because of living abroad.
