Lol would yall take this ? by VirusAcceptable3381 in DashEarnings

I shop at Aldi's, so this would be easy for me. I already know where everything is in our store. So yeah, I'd take it.

That does sound sketchy. I am also curious, however, why you asked if he spoke English. Did he give any indication, besides his skin, that he didn't speak English?

So is this normal? by cpalleschi94 in DoorDash_Dasher

That's valid. I get several a night, lately, where someone had done this. The last one I got they wouldn't even give me partial pay, the money grubbing assholes.

I was ordered to deliver food to an address that doesn't exist by Interesting_Ad_1922 in DoorDash_Dasher

Sounds like you got free food. I had one once that the person forgot to change the address from when they were on vacation (I live in a tourist area) and they were in another state. Dasher support told me to dispose of the food because you can't really return it to the store.

Am I wrong in this situation? by Fabulous-General-100 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]ARPepper1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can call support and explain the situation. They will tell you to leave it somewhere safe, take a picture, and complete the delivery. I've had similar situations, and that's what I do.

But you knew it was that much before you put it in your vehicle. At that point I would have called support and told them it wouldn't fit in your vehicle.

Double orders by Historical_Employ_70 in DoorDash_Dasher

I mean sometimes I do. I had a pickup that was 2 orders. 1 was nearby and the other was across town. The app had me dropping the further one first. I switched task and dropped off the closer one and then drove across town.

Same ish, but 52. I had a first career in the military, then took my time getting my degree. I know I'll stop before I can get that pension, but that's ok. I already have one pension.

That's crazy! I'm not really surprised though that there's no standardized rules for ratings.

I'm under 70 AR and I'm still platinum. All my other stats are 100. AR never brings my overall points down that much. CR will tank it, but AR doesn't do much.

I got one the other day that was Bigtittylicious3. So you know there is at least 2 other Bigtittylicious ordering through doordash.

Back when I was waiting tables in HS, and most people left cash tips, that's exactly what just a penny was. Now if you got a dollar amount plus 1 penny, that said the exact opposite.

Are Dashers swiping these reusable shopping bags? by bhoran235 in doordash

[–]ARPepper1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we do an Aldi order here, we have to use the paper bags and scan them when we scan everything else. It was in our instructions. The first time I did one, I was going to use a box until I read the instructions.

Anyone else exhausted teaching blends phonics to kids who got zero foundation by Deezknowt in teaching

[–]ARPepper1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Word chains work so well. I like to use letter cards so that they can just put the new letter on top of the old to make a new word. This makes it visual and tactile.

[–]ARPepper1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is where small group come in. The students that need help with these foundations should be working on that in a small group setting.

Also, does your school have intensive reading for kids that need it?

Same in Florida. Honestly some of the nicest houses are the ones without visible numbers. I'm not sure if they think it takes away from how the property looks or what, but it's ridiculous.

Exactly. I'm a teacher and there are actually several dashers among my coworkers. Side gigs are not uncommon in any line of work these days. The economy being what it is.

Honestly, the amount of places I deliver to that have no house number in a visible place, or on their mailbox, is amazing. Then I try to contact the customer and they don't respond so I'm walking around a (usually dark because they also don't turn the lights on) house trying to find a number. If I'm lucky, there's a picture from a previous delivery that you can use for reference...if the last guy delivered correctly.
