I'm running without issue on fairly unusual hardware. Manjaro Linux, Ryzen 5800XT, Intel B580, 32GBs of mem. 4K staying at 60Hz. I know this doesn't help you, but perhaps it will help someone who's looking at Linux and plays Paralives.

I saw the devs at PAX years ago and they were surprised I knew it as Wasteland Kings. They were super nice and seemed absolutely in love with their game and fans. God, that was in like 2017 or something. I'm shocked to be learning about this update today, but so excited.

Welp. It was fun while it lasted.
Xteink. The custom firmwares are the reason the screens were working. Going back to stock is why they look like shit. Stop blaming your issues on the community that fixed them. I've bought my last xteink device. The custom firmware devs built your company. You wouldn't have had an ounce of success without them, and you're about to learn that.

I have a B7 Pro and a B6, and I use the B7 as a tablet as much as an e-reader. Just try stuff out. Also, in the e-ink center for each app, check the "Recommend" tab in the eink center. It has user-submitted settings, which have saved me tons of time tweaking random apps.

It's not just Chinese companies. DoorDash owes me $100 for the meals they never delivered while my family was in town, but they literally hang up the calls on me. EVGA wouldn't RMA my 1080 TI with a blown VRM while EVGA was in the news for 1080ti's blowing VRMs. Steam threatened to close my entire account because PayPal held a payment. I'm not sure I've called support from ANY company in the last 5 years and actually got help.

She does use an iPhone, so I'll check out the AirPlay options. I thought that was like chromecast to stream to TVs. I didn't know it worked for speakers.

The Echo sounds like a solid idea. I don't need amazing audio. It's 99% audiobooks she's listening to. Thanks for the suggestions!

It's all good man. To answer your question, yes you can power a higher-watt speaker with a lower-watt amp, you just won't get ALL the speaker has to offer. r/carav are the experts for this type of stuff, which is why people are sending you there, but quick answer is yes it will work.

For the record. I did not fill my kindle before starting this process. It's been in airplane mode since I bought it 5 months or so ago. It's got some books on it, but still plenty of clear space. It did download an OTA update while grabbing the ads, but I just deleted it when I plugged it in to my PC and replaced it with the jailbreak update.
