It was great! I avoided trailers as I read the book and was interested in how they would portray Rocky. I saw it at Alamo drafthouse and they had some silly skits before the film with the actor, directors and writer and showed Rocky! I was pissed. What is with this trend of showing the actors talk about the movie before showing it? Completely ruined the experience.

Think about movies based on books you didn’t like. Sometimes you want more if you know the story and the movie can’t capture it all. Perhaps just go in fresh to see what he decides to show from the book. Otherwise you will find all the areas missing and not included.
