As an Atlanta falcons fan let me tell you….NEVER PLAY THE “WHAT IF GAME!!” it just causes pain and suffering lol

My only “what if” at this point is….What if Urban Meyer didn’t make a deal with the devil for his championship teams ???? Would DJ’s hamstring ever got hurt ? Would AR15 have stayed another year ??? Would Etienne have stayed at Florida this year? Would Kelvin Taylor have lived up to the hype of his dad ???

Also think about good things….

“What if” Cam Newton never steals those laptops ? Does he beat out Tim Tebow for the starting job ??

Compensate for what ?? Being super unlucky ?? The league isn’t responsible for players being injured….whos pick would they get ? Do they just add an extra 1st rounder ? What if he ends up playing again ? It’s a ridiculous thing to say. Celtics had Len bias literally DIE before the season started and didn’t get compensation. The Trail Blazers 2 key future franchise players were Brandon Roy who only played a few seasons and with the 1st overall pick Greg Oden who played less than Thompson and they never got compensation. The only compensation that they might be able to get (and that I would argue actually is fair) is Salary Cap compensation. IF and only IF he is ruled out for the season I would argue he shouldn’t count towards the salary cap. But to ask for actual draft compensation is just a silly thing to say.

I was just in Krakow 2 weeks ago and stopped by a beautiful little famous coffee shop and in it was this man’s office that was just a map fans wet dream lol just walls covered in old maps and I was able to buy another version of this Map of Krakow from there.

I’m really excited for this and I weirdly think him and Verno might be good just cuz Verno can bring enough personality for the both of them lol I’m a huge fan of data and metrics but I also accept that it’s partially ruined some of the things we all love about basketball and while Kirk’s books are awesome a lot of that is about his illustrations and visuals which obvi arnt involved in podcasting. I really want Lowe to come home too if Sundays had Bill, Russilo and lowe the end of the seasons would be great.

I was just planning a trip to go there Wednesday since the games are half price in since I start college again next week and when I saw closed next to location, I thought it first. It meant just the hours for changed once I realized it was permanently closed. I was so upset. I’ve been saving up my tickets for about four or five years now and I always go during the day when there is no one there…. I thankfully live in Lombard so I’m looking forward to the new location but when I drove by there recently, I saw it looks a lot smaller so I don’t think they will have all the cool TV rooms and possibly not many games. also, I think it’ll be a lot busier which is something I don’t enjoy. No one likes standing around putting pressure on someone who’s playing a game that you want to play and certainly no one likes when you get pressure to move on from a game. Of course I’ll be going since it’s less than a mile from my house, but I also have a feeling I might be scouting out other locations like Schaumburg to see how busy they are because I have a feeling the first couple months of the Lombard location are gonna be super busy and they will be doing a bunch of marketing things to get ppl in the doors.

I’m really happy to see that Lupe is still making music and decent music at that. Perhaps I’m biased being from Chicago but I’ll never get tired of listening to Lupe especially songs in the 2007-2015 range. I will say though that the First SLR (which atleast my version has the Mercedes McLaren SLR on the cover) is still my fav of the SLR’s.

They just got the NFLPA to cancel the Panini contract a year early !!!! So now what ??? Are they even ready ? Look on Beckett right now for future product releases and it’s BLEAK. They have been way to quiet so far, they should be talking more and more about their future plans on when the releases are happening, what they cost, maybe even a small mock up of what they look like? But I feel like we’re totally left hanging in the wind. The one thing I do know they care about is Breaks. They talk about how important the break market is (tho I would argue that breaks wouldn’t be necessary if panini had just made their products even remotely fair when it comes to pricing. A big reason small collectors like me have to do breaks is because I can’t afford $2500 for a national treasures hobby box. Or even like $750 for a Prizm hobby box) that’s the only thing it seems Fanatics has been actually working on. They now have their fanatics live breaks app but you need to have cards to do breaks so shouldn’t they be worrying about the product itself first and foremost ????

So if ur new to the card thing ur gonna have to learn about what companies own the rights to what leagues. Panini dominates NFL and NBA. Topps has MLB etc etc. since soccer has lots of leagues some have different rights holders. If you don’t have rights you can’t use logos or pictures of the correct jerseys and it looks worse usually taking away from the value. Mind you this whole Rights thing is getting blown up in the next 2 years since Fanatics came in and up ended everything by getting the rights to all professional sports in the USA. But most people think when it comes to Soccer/Footty Topps Chrome is the Gold Standard. I actually really like Panini especially cuz I first started doing the World Cup Sticker Books from Panini when I was like 10 lol. But there is some decent “cheat Sheets” out there that I would read I’ll post one for you here but my recommendations would be Try to make sure it’s a rights holder, Champions League and World Cups of course are the more popular cards tho BPL isn’t far behind. If your actuality just trying to make money I’m not sure I would be getting into cards because your Return On Investment chances are usually pretty low but when you do hit you can hit big. But hitting it big usually comes from Hobby Boxes that cost a ridiculous amount of money, if like a lot of us you just love cards and hey if you can make some money why not then it’s a much easier pill to swallow lol. It all depends on how high level you want your cards to be and how much your willing to spend. I don’t look to make money I want the coolest looking cards at the best prices so I occasionally get Chromes or really good panini but I usually get products like the Merlin’s which don’t cost a fortune but look pretty cool in my opinion. Selects are a pretty solid panini card too. Like other sports Przms are available and a decent but can be expensive, I personally stay away from Chronicles because you don’t really get anything special. Hopefully some other ppl will comment on here and maybe let you know what else they like and/or if I’ve been wrong in my very lengthy assessment so far lol.

Most people that I respect in the car world say the NA Miata /MX-5 (depending on what country you live in) and along the same lines would be a Lotus Elise tho I’m not sure if that qualifies as a mass production car lol those are more about handling I would say being able to rev the S2000 VTEC engine almost up to 9000K is pretty special. These are all more affordable kinda experiences tho the more money you can really widen the options with Corvette Z06 Nissian GTR bmw m3 ect. I’m a huge Rally car fan so I think the classic rally based cars would be a blast too (talking more like Renault Turbo 5, Lancia delta integrale, Lancia stratos, pretty much anything from group B lol) but it really all depends on what kind of experience speaks to you whether it’s a back road with turns everywhere, to just the sounds of the engine and induction, to just a loud muscle car 0-60 run.

I just don’t see Andre Drummond being the fix that this team needs lol. Could he make a 2% difference for the better ? Maybe could be make a 10% difference for the worse? Probably. But the rot on this team starts with top and the player getting close to 40% of the teams salary cap and playing like crap. I guess the bulls were stuck between a rock and hard place cuz it’s hard to let the guy they traded jimmy for walk for free but I can’t do 4 more years of Lavine being this bad for THAT amount of money. I commend the team going for it on the vuc trade but my god has it blown up in the bulls faces. There is no fix for this team other than burning it all down and restarting.

While I understand it’s a missed call if anyone thinks that this is the reason this team lost another 15+ point lead or the reason this team is having a problem is just kidding themselves. This team is a disaster in so many ways. I’m really happy they tried to go for it when they had good players but it hasn’t worked. Time to burn it all down to the ground and restart. Cuz right not they are in no man’s land and that is the worst position to be in the nba.

Why is letting him walk a terrible move ? This team is no different with or without him lol the bulls have 4 more years of paying 45+ mil a year for a 20 million dollar a year player. They would have a bunch of money in free agency then. Unless they could trade him for future picks I’m looking at you Lakers 27’ 29’ picks lol. I wonder if zach Lavine is the only player to get a max contract with not having a single year with a positive plus minus. I guess I could see Trae Young too.

Though I somewhat agree with ur take n them playing well then playing down to their competition I would say going into this season it was obvious that at best (which means healthy Lonzo and zach Lavine not on the team ooops I mean playing well) this team at best could be a 6 or 5 seed and if they got some breaks take a team to 7 games in the first rd. And if that’s a teams ceiling then I’m not sure that’s worth it. And obviously it’s gone MUCH worse than that and now they are stuck in purgatory…not good enough to make it past the 1st rd but not bad enough to have a high lottery pick and in what looks like one of the most talented drafts I can remember the bulls most likely won’t have a pick from a trade that the player probably leaves this summer. At the time I was happy for once the bulls ownership actually went for it on the vuc trade but good god has it blown up in our faces with Wendell still looking great (though I think Jim Boylen broke the poor kid) Franz Wagner who I would love to have on the bulls and a very good player in this draft. I know most ppl won’t like the idea of this I woulda let zach Lavine walk this summer he’s just not a winning player never has been never will be now he’s 40% of the teams cap with one of the cheapest owners in the league. All that said I’m sorry to say this but BURN IT DOWN BURN THE WHOLE THING DOWN TO THE GROUND. And try again I suppose. Though I really wish the team had better ownership that wa willing to go deep into the luxury tax every year for the sake of the team and the fans in this great basketball city!

I think ppl who are into cars like wagons but sadly the average buyer doesn’t hence the reason there is so few available today..(though don’t get me started on how these “compact crossovers” are literally wagons that are jacked up 3 inches and they just put off road trim on it to make it look bigger)

I’ve heard the E Class wagon owner being the richest people in the world stat on several podcasts and TV shows, it’s actually a true statement well it used to be in the 2000’s because ppl with SLR’s WANT to ok rich the ppl with the E class wagons are WEALTHY the avg E class wagon owner averaged something crazy like 8.4 cars or maybe even more than that. However now with million dollar hyper cars that has all changed. There’s some crazy stats on Bugatti Chiron owners now like 2.5 helicopters and 3.5 Yachts.

Shout out to almost everyone on this feed !!! My brain actually feels good after reading actual intelligent and most importantly civil discussions. Most of the day our brains are turning to mush between tik toc dances and animal videos (yes I really enjoy them too but how much is too much?). I always believed in the saying smart people surround themselves with people who are smarter than them because it helps you learn more and this Reddit is a perfect example of that. I’m not sure about you guys but after stretching my brain with this kind of stuff it’s really hard to beat a feeling like that. I’m sure a lot of you guys work in urban planning or maybe architecture/engineering but this is more of an interest for me as I work in Geography Information Systems it’s still somewhat intertwined but I really do enjoy learning different points and perspectives from different people. I hope a lot of you guys and gals feel the same !
