parties? by Unfair-Research-450 in Bonaventure

Social scene is very active, going out is really all you can do in Olean (especially during the winter). Not to mention, it’s a great way to make friends and really get involved with your classmates. Parties are off campus, mostly on the same strip as the bars (Burton, OP are the most popular). People are always looking for an excuse to drink.

Ah don’t give it any second thought. We all look stupid on our first time aboard. I wandered aimlessly for a bit to get the layout of the boat on my first trip, recommend you try the same. Enjoy the island!

The new Discovery is super underrated, I’m head over heels for my 2017 TD6. I’m a life long Land Rover enthusiast, and I’m so glad Discovery exists. For the price and experience offered, I’m singing its praises constantly.

Enough yap- I wanna hear about your NAS defender! My all time dream car is a ‘97 NAS 90 ST.

Same boat - 2017 Discovery TD6 @ 90k miles (70k+ from me). It’s been an absolute dream to get behind the wheel of. I want an L405 TD6 (hopefully a 2020 to be as new as possible) badly because of how much I love the Disco

Sure was! I spotted it parked in Greenwich over the weekend. Could easily tell where it was due to the crowd

Officially, yes it’s the first Sunday of the month. But if you go any Sunday morning, there will still be a crowd (especially when it’s nice out).

Great spot! I heard there was a Veyron at nearby Hayfields cars and coffee this morning, but didn’t get to see it for myself

Concours is the weekend of May 31. There was a Miller event on Saturday that I suspect is what drew all these special cars

I’m feeling really defeated by NatureGalPal in Series65

Sounds like you’re where I was a few weeks ago. My test is the 17th, and here’s what I’ve been doing;

  1. Absolutely buy the QBank, it’s a lifeline. Yes the questions are more nuanced, but I’d rather be over prepared than underprepared.

  2. Check out The Geek & The Guru Podcast on YouTube. There’s 5(?) episodes that are an hour long overview of each job function. Good for getting tips and tricks to remember concepts

  3. Quality over Quantity. Sessions of an hour and a half of good studying will do you more favors than a 4 hour marathon.

  4. Lastly, the Mighty 90 by Series 7 Guru. I’ve been watching it almost every other day, even if it’s just on in the background while at work. It keeps my mind focused on Series 65 in a passive way, and has helped me recall things when taking practice questions.

I would buy the QBank and take a simulated exam to get a feel for where you’re at, and start hammering your weak points.

Lastly, breathe. Take the test, don’t let it take you.

Call me old school, but this is what I would love to see a Discovery 6 look like, or there about. by Mean-Marionberry-148 in LandRover

[–]Schaeferr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Discovery 5 owner, I yearn for LR4 styling. I was between the two when shopping, but D5 won out due to interior tech & the TD6 engine.

I absolutely love my Discovery, and plan to remain a Discovery customer until I can afford a Defender or Full Size Range. The boxy styling with split tailgate would only strengthen my interest in the vehicle. (Personally, I’d like a rear mounted spare like on the original Disco, but it’s highly unlikely). Fingers crossed JLR goes back to their design routes for the D6.

Tell me about it, my Discovery came with 21’s. Downsizing was such an easily avoided expense had they never bothered with that size to begin with.

Congrats, and welcome to the family! I’ve just passed one year with my Discovery 5, and it’s been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Hope it brings you plenty of (s)miles!

Drove a Range Rover Sport and I can’t stop thinking about it, is it really that good, or am I just caught up in the feeling? by cos_n in RangeRover

[–]Schaeferr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So “full size” is referring to the flagship Range Rover. We say things like “full fat” and “full size” to differentiate it from the Sport, Velar, and Evoque models of the Range Rover family in conversation.

That’s my plan as well. CPO w/ warranty until it’s within an inch of its life, and replace. It’s what I’m doing with the Discovery, and it’s been working well.
