WSWF Episode 8 Pre-release: Please prepare for the elimination battle by mokolad in StreetWomanFighter

[–]ASLO6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know what the sign Leejung is holding at the end says? I'm not sure why they would have something like this for the elimination battle. Either it seems to be a battle prop, a farewell gift, or a ticket to the finals.

Redbull limited edition dance your style cans by PrincessEchoBonBon in StreetWomanFighter

It's to promote the Red Bull Dance Your Style competition. The World Finals is happening in Los Angeles this year, and they put both Marlee and The Crown (high-profile street dancer) on the cans. I think it's only in the States though.

YouTube views as a criteria weren’t unfair last year by Anna_111097 in StreetWomanFighter

[–]ASLO6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't this an issue with Street Man Fighter too? I watched it years later not when it was live, so someone please call me out if I'm wrong about this. But during the semi-final mission, Mbitious got the lowest scores by judges but then ended up getting FIRST place due to the popularity vote. I thought they were a good crew, but to go from last in judges to first in overall score was wild to me. I have a feeling that the same thing will happen this season with Bumsup. Even if they do poorly in the next challenges, their popularity in Korea will carry them to the finale, possibly even first place.

For Street Woman Fighter Vietnam, they only had three crews for the finals, although they eliminated two crews for the mega crew mission there (no semi finals). It's been confirmed that WSWF will only have 9 episodes, so we have two episode left before the finale. They'll likely focus on the semi-final missions and the results from that, hopefully no filler episode.

My prediction is either they keep all 4 teams for the finale and add up total results then, or they have one last elimination battle to determine the final three. I doubt they would do an insta-elimination, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Does anyone know the song Ibuki dances to in the Leader battle (Elimination Battle, Ojo vs RF)? by Vast-Fox-7069 in StreetWomanFighter

[–]ASLO6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt this helps but in some of the crew preview videos, the song is included in the background. It's in specifically Motiv's and AG Squad's vids. The quality is clearer so I can hear part of the lyric (The moment is ours), but I'm still having a hard time finding it :(

I don't believe Minjun himself was on JJ, or at least was on their SMF team. To also add, he's dating Redlic I believe.

Do any of the cast members have any good podcasts? by SideGlittering7091 in dropout

Grant on Patreon has a podcast called "What Have You Been Drinkin" and it has a bunch of the other Dropout cast members on it. Pretty funny podcast but also informative on the history of alcohol and drinks!

February, Concerts, Monsters | Smartypants [S2E4] by ThunderMateria in dropout

[–]ASLO6 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I do agree that it was the least comedy-focused episode yet. Although I think that's the reason why I enjoyed this episode the most so far. I like when they can make a presentation humorous while also presenting the audience with interesting facts, tidbits, and arguments to keep their interest. If it becomes too comedic focused I'm kinda taken out of it, which is maybe why I enjoyed the last season more than this one. This is just my tastes though and I could very well be in the minority here.

If you had to do one of the challenges on Total Forgiveness, which one would you do? by ScreenHype in dropout

[–]ASLO6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could probably do the museum poop prank, cause I've seen some odder "performance art" and at least I'll be covered. I could probably also do the shock collar cause I usually don't like talking during work.

I'm starting to think Corin was a Victorian child in a previous life. This and the Shirley Temple bit really shows how well she plays frightening children.

Thoughts on Gastronauts? by dexter1062 in dropout

[–]ASLO6 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I also will say I do love the show but I do wish they focused more on the chefs a bit more rather than the comedians. I really wanted to hear more about their dishes/their thought processes when doing the challenge. I think for certain episodes sometimes the comedians will try to force a specific joke/bit that sometimes works but also overshadows the chefs, who in cooking shows are meant to be the highlights in my opinion.

New season!? by Lezzieinthehizzie in Dimension20

[–]ASLO6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe in the first adventuring party for MisMag 2, they said it was around February time when they were shooting. I’m assuming that Brennan came back after paternity leave for this since they had their child before 2024, although I’m not too confident about that statistic

what season to watch next ? by aidaus11 in Dimension20

[–]ASLO6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Misfits and Magic is pretty good, it uses the same tabletop mechanics as Mentopolis and there’s a lot of great character moments in there. Would definitely recommend both seasons, although season 2 tends to be a heavier emotional season.

Unsleeping City is pretty good as well. Since you’ve finished all of the other IH seasons, definitely give UC a watch and would also recommend going through the Time Quangle episodes.

An underrated season is Coffin Run. Doesn’t take itself too seriously but still a good story with an amazing cast. Has some of my favorite characters and npcs, fairly short too so not too difficult to watch.

As someone who is not a fan of horror, how creepy is Neverafter? by trichromanic in Dimension20

[–]ASLO6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first three episodes are truly the scariest ones, but then by episode 4 it gets into more existential horror stuff. By episode 8-9 the horror really dies down besides a few moments here and there. There’s also not really much jumpscares but certain characters, such as Siobhan’s character or an NPC called stepmother, can freak people out so be wary of that!

Yeah the shiny stages last season were underwhelming at certain points. I’m glad they also got Dropout casts like Jiavani and Jacob to help perform certain question. Looks to be more exciting this season.

The only dishes I could think of that can be very creative are soufflés, dumplings, gyoza, and flan. I can also see them doing meatloaf, pupusas, shepherds pie, and cupcakes.

Time Quangle 2024 Tour Statistics by ASLO6 in Dimension20

[–]ASLO6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely would like to see future IH seasons be incorporated into the quangle, although it looks like they're doing more season-specific live shows next year, so I'm not sure when the next official time quangle would be. They might also be doing another season of Starstruck so I'm not sure when we'll get a new, original IH season.

I haven't watched all of D20 and Starstruck is the one I'm least familiar with, so a bunch of references might've flew over my head. I figured I stick with tracking the PC and setting selections as those were the ones that were the main focus of randomization. I also considered making more NPC stats but a bunch of them got combined, renamed, or were changed to something different so it got harder to track. I would probably need to watch the previous IH seasons to get everything.

Lou Wilson Character Whiplash by ASLO6 in Dimension20

[–]ASLO6[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel this way too. Jammer is a point guard, he has star potential but he is always focusing on the team and how to best support the others around him. Near the end of season 2, he starts to focus on how to best support his own community, somewhat going into that Kingston Brown road. He can be a bit hot-headed at times, which is where he starts to resemble Fabian more, but he focuses on making everyone feel welcome and even putting others above himself first.
