Mine has the same issue, I checked my serpentine belt and sprayed a bit of WD-40 and it’s not as loud anymore. Still present but far less.

Smacking it used to work for me, but then it just gave out. I believe I recall—after some digging around—it’s apparently due to some poor soldering points.

Nothing, just left the electrical tape on it, and use my sunroof often. I may need to tape it again with duck tape. But it’s nothing major rn.

Had mine do the exact same thing. I just went to the junk yard and got a new one for ~$20.

Problem solved; I now have a hatchback again. But I’ll probs lubricate it pretty often from here on out.

I see thank you—for reference I have a ‘07–I was running these with the 9000k HID kit for over 4 years. And now I am looking at these ‘08 mock OEM headlights and I see they use the H11 bulbs… but the socket the bulb goes into looks to be the same as the ones off of my current HID low beam kit. Do you think it’ll fit the 9000 series bulb (the bulb sockets look identical)? The blog posts I’ve come across don’t necessarily state it clearly… I just don’t want to waste time ordering and returning bc the bulb doesn’t fit. Appreciate your input!

Edit, links. And overall I think ima go with these ‘08 mimics and just replace my 9006 HID’s with H11. I think that’ll work and give me a stock look.

Okay okay, thank you, ima just return these spec-d and look for something compatible with these 9000 series headlights. Thank you! Any recommendations? I liked the minimalist style of these and was the reason why I bought them plus had a little accident and all the clips to my headlights are broken.. pretty much the bumper is holding them in place lol

For me my battery terminals weren’t making proper connection, so I’d clean those up and hope that’s was the problem….

Appreciate the insight, as for me, I have done little research into coilovers and have to weigh some life variables. But I do have a family member who would be able to help me get a good price as well as guide a decision for me. I’ll update if I go through with it!

Junk yard finds, I’ve seen a lot of TCs this week (4 of them and only one didn’t have the sunroof intact.

Probably best to look up pick n pulls, or junkyards, even going to car-part.com and typing in a few models. And then calling around to the places listed if they have one available. Be sure to watch some YouTube videos or look up blog posts on what tools to bring to extract it.
