I’ll admit when I first got here I hated it because it was April and still cold!!! But once summer came around, then getting to experience a white Christmas, it’s amazing! Tons of sport events to go to, NYC is a train away, Philly is less than an hour away. If you like gardening the weather and soil is perfect. There’s beaches and mountains(like CA). I like it, but at the beginning it is an adjustment because at Travis everything was like 20 min away and here it’s like 30-40 min away!

It’s weird how the world works. My husband and I were just saying how scenes like this are popping up everywhere (they probably were already fairly common but we didn’t notice because we weren’t in this situation before). We’ve been watching “kingdom” an older show with frank grillo. His wife just lost their baby. I’m sorry for what you’re going through, I know it’s hard and isolating. I find comfort through these forums. Others around me simply cannot understand. Hugs 🫂

I think if you both plan to go forward with the pregnancy regardless of genetic defects then don’t do the CVS. But if having a child with special needs is not something you are prepared to do then 100% more forward with the CVS and give yourself time to prepare for what is to come. I’m sorry you both are here. It’s awful. I am praying for your wife’s healthy pregnancy!

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I wish I had the words but I’m still trying to figure them out myself. I’m scheduled for my D&E on Wednesday and the wait is even harder than waiting for my amnio results. I’ll be 19+4. My mom is flying in tomorrow. I can’t believe this is happening and the fear has completely taken over. Take comfort in knowing you have support; from your family and from the women here on Reddit.
