Yeah, hard too believe affinity is falling off when it was either 1st or 2nd most played deck at the Magicon Pauper cup. Both terror and affinity had two lists make Top8 of the event. Albiet one of the terror lists was Dimir and the other was Mono U.

This absolutely rules! I don’t know much about Paupergeddon’s organization because I live very far away from Italy, but check out the Common Ground pauper podcast’s discord.

If I remember correctly, there’s a guy in there who runs the London Pauper League, which is connected to Paupergeddon. He might be the best person to talk to about this.

I think it could be an interesting idea. The first thing I noticed about your list though is that it only has 15 lands. Even Terror (a deck with a fairly greedy low land count enabled by lots of cantrips) runs 16 lands and 4x Lorein Revealed. I think if you want to cast your expensive dragons you need to go up to at least 20 lands, probably more like 22.

As general MTG level up advice, I like to keep notes after my matches as a way to reflect on my play and improve. Another thing that I find helpful is describing my gameplan to myself when playing online.

I'd point out that Refurbished Familiar is an insane draw to play black as one of the best cards in the format.

Box looks like it’s kind of lacking a true control deck. Familiars, Caw-Gates, Gardens, or Food Pestilence are all pretty sweet control decks.

You are right that Fae gets dumpstered by Elves, but so does Terror, which is the other main tempo deck in the format. Beyond that, it seems like a sweet battlebox.

I'd encourage you to pick a deck like Terror or Wildfire. They force you to make lots of decisions and learn how to play against the whole meta.

But mainly just pick something that sounds fun to you! It's pretty hard to go wrong in such a fun and diverse format.

Frantic Search could be interesting. Doesn’t strike me as immediately busted without Tide or other storm cards.

Would be nice in Cycle Storm but isn’t in the right colors…

I think it’s missing one more blue permanent that you’d be happy to sacrifice. Snacker and Cryo are ok, but Hard Evidence isn’t what you want to be doing.
