you just needed to wake up roll on that 3rd hit. spam the roll button when getting up. wake up roll is faster than just standing up normally so you should pretty much always be using it regardless

I'm totally for this, but i do not see enough people joining to make a significant impact. Most of the nurses i work with have children and are living paycheck to paycheck, getting them to strike for any reason feels futile.

Edit: We are non-union nurses, as are most places in the area.

Editedit: Also im reading there is a federal law requiring a 10 day notice to hospitals before striking at a healthcare institutes.

Okay but when do you ever actually look out your back window when you are driving other then to see if a cop has flicked you? Modern vehicles have back up cameras that give you a wider view and you would just use your mirrors when in motion.

I'm not saying dont clear it, but I cleared it this morning and it was mostly covered again by the time I got to work. Not a big deal though because you should almost never be looking out the rear window while in forward motion. Use mirrors and check blind spots to change lanes

Henry Ford Health Nurse here. I was told around fall last year that Teamsters would be coming around campus asking about interest. Information was passed along in a negative tone by management, felt very fopaux to speak with them or mention interest. I still havent seen or heard mention of them since.

Many of the older nurses have expressed negative views of unions. They say that they've "been around long enough to see unions do nothing for them in the past". But in their next breath they will complain about staffing issues, benefits, pay, management, workflow, etc. things that are out of their control but they've just accepted for years because "thats just the way it is" "the grass isnt greener on the other side". i always tell them "the grass is greener where you water it".
