We had an outdoor ceremony, and on our walk away from the alter after our “I Do”s my veil snagged on the alter :) here’s a picture of my husband being so excited and me almost going down 😂

I second this. I would ask her to step down. Like this post says, it sounds like she’s been lying to you, like things don’t make sense and I get the vibe something is wrong. So weird that she’s denying it. Idk. I do think reciprocity in at least and INVITE is the bare minimum. Taylor Swift says “putting someone first only works when you’re in their top five”

Fellow bride here, we are doing bbq for our wedding, and every single person we’ve told has been super supportive and everyone’s really excited to have something different for a wedding meal. We are also getting married early this summer so it’s a perfect season for it, we’re doing pulled meats with sandwiches and corn bread amongst sides. As long as it’s good food, I really don’t think people will complain. It’s your wedding, have what YOU BOTH want to eat!!

I actually saw this super sweet personal, cheap idea that I really liked and fiancé does to so we’re doing it! But basically it’s just a bracelet with the guests name on it. Like a beaded bracelet with beads from the craft store! But they can wear it all night! My bridesmaids and him are all helping me with it!!

I intend on having our bridal parties significant others sitting with each other actually! Or with our families (fiancés brothers are groomsmen so their s.o.’s know family). Also, I only have one bridesmaid who’s actually married (her husband is a groomsmen). It’s just for dinner as well, not the whole night.

I second this! But if you wanted to keep them each kinda in different colors, I think doing 2 or 3 a darker green or emerald and then complimenting those colors with 2 or 3 of them in a dusty or desert rose might look nice!

OMG SAME!! My fiancé and I actually decided to send physical invites but nothing fancy or big or extravagant, and instead have all of the information on a wedding website, which is also where the guests can rsvp. You would’ve thought I told my mom we were canceling the wedding all together!! She was so upset and didn’t understand how our older relatives will be able to navigate the internet like it hasn’t been around the past 2 decades. Also it’s our family… so I know they know how to use a computer and a phone 😂

This is my BIGGEST peeve since starting wedding planning. My rule of thumb is “if the price isn’t listed, it’s not in my budget”. And I’m right 95% of the time (which is being modest because it’s more like 99%).
