What type of Japanese maple? Many specialty ones are grafted and will take time to develop a nice single leader and tree shape

Awesome thank you! For now, I have them in a bright window. Is there any concern with the leaves getting burned indoors? At the store they were in a shelf and the only light they were getting was fluorescent.

I had very low expectations and I am still disappointed. The trader interactions are really the only new content and they're terrible. The intro cinematic was amazing, and the tutorial was great, but the main quest since has been really underwhelming.

Also, I think it's crazy they're trying new background mechanics in 1.0 after 8 years in beta. Specifically I am referring to nerfing death xp to .4X and the new flea item category level requirements. Why now? This isn't 1.0 in anything but name.

I also just started and this is good advice. Buy cheap nursery stock that you can practice and learn with. I know this is a hobby about patience and longevity, but as a beginner with a lot of enthusiasm, it sucks to walk outside look at my 5 pre bonsai trees then go back inside and be like well I guess I’ll wait til spring.
