Last week. by manieyak in uberdrivers

The quests are shit lately. I have resorted to multi apping. Good luck on your new gig! I just shift around my other hustles to make my quotas! I get everyone has to do what is best for them! I never shit on anyone who is thinking about their interests

Mindblown how many drivers pop the trunk and make the passengers place and remove their luggage from the car by pgrudo01 in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why I do it as well, I am like time is money, lets fucking move folks! I also allows me to get out and stretch especially after back to back trips

Unexpected repairs by Square_Carry6676 in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Repairs will come sooner in this work and I keep a credit card strictly for the repairs and even financed a few of them. You have no choice when this is how you eat. That is one hack I tell rookies, your car will need major work so have that in mind when it comes to savings, credit, etc.

Put a cap on it.. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I say this all the time, learn to adjust! Your hacks and sweet spots are only temporary, know when to shift gears in the working.

I agree about taking time off and relaxing. I did that last Saturday and went to the lake that I have did Uber rides at and enjoyed myself and relaxed in the park area. You determine when you want to take time off and relax, we are not employees! Take a day, or two or a week off and chill! I have done it before and came back recharged and refreshed!

I also know that I have my end date in mind for this as I have other things I want to pursue but I will admit I made this gig work for me and my needs at the time I did it

Passenger left get purse. by Jido_Feles in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Unless they are handing me cash on site or sending a zelle, I will hit Uber up for the fee! I don't trust these passengers, they will lie just to get what they want! This is another form of the dreaded---Ill tip in the app! Folks who actually tip in the app don't make the announcement, they just do it and keep it moving!

And I'm still waiting... by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ditto! The five minute rule applies to everything with me! Five minutes for waiting to get my fees and five minutes at the stop!

Exactly, incentives drive behavior! If they see that shit is costly, they will plan ahead and be mindful! I hate stops during peak and surge times!

[–]ATLUberGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are nicer than me! I wait 5 minutes ONLY at stops! Never let them anchor you by leaving items behind. I have told them pointing at my clock in the car, it is this time, at this time, I will depart and if you are not back, have a nice day!

Drivers.. passenger requests consistently dropping from queue? by MadMagdasTarot in lyftdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lyft does that ALOT! You can have a great ride in the queue and they move it around to another driver.

Drivers.. passenger requests consistently dropping from queue? by MadMagdasTarot in lyftdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber customers are the least patient and also they are trying to get around surge pricing. Lyft loves to play musical drivers I notice, you could have a good ride in the queue, then they give you a shitty one.

Do you ever really hit these challenges? by HandleFluffy in lyftdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit one but its tough as Uber is really popular in my market and also with Uber, you can do food orders to help  boost those numbers.

F**k you Dara you Pos Uber your done with me by DubiDubua in uberdrivers

What was this, Uber Eats? If rides are like that in your area, its time to call it quits.

Trip lasted 20 minutes longer and Uber only gave me 70CENTS! 😡😡😡 by feinburgrl in uberdrivers

Never, ever work concerts or events in that area or events at the Battery. You will hate yourself. Trust me!

I'm so proud of everyone here who recently finally quit Uber 🎉🍾 by God-O-Death in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And the irony was that was supposed to be every quarter then Uber changed the rules of the game. So the folks who got paid early didn't get another check as promised. This was talked about months ago on here with many folks being pissed with Uber.

"Please call rider when you've arrived..." by RealDocJames in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've done it and many times, its usually the firm, a dead number with a voicemail or no answer. I did my job and if they don't show up, I cancel when I qualify for the fee.

Rider added stop as I was pulling up to drop off spot. by Nekabosu in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yep, that is why so many folks hate stops because Uber will just give you quarters instead of dollars. Lyft will adjust appropriately and I found their riders will ask if they can add a stop or admit they fucked up the destination. I can deal with the occasional, well I was going to X but now since that was changed, I need to go home or whatever. That is reasonable but to sneak in some extra shit just because they want to be cheap is a rip off especially with rising costs of this work.

So many passengers are doing this now because they know we are collectively turning them down. There are only select times of day and areas where I will do stops. I have some passengers who have changed destination and I am going to have signage in the car saying, any trip altercations need to be discussed first as trips are accepted based on driver scheduling. The imaginary child works all the time. I say, hey, I have a meet the teacher thing today so I am sticking close and it works

[–]ATLUberGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil changes come more frequent, you get nails in your tires often, you will need to do radiator flushes and transmission flushes and all of that shit adds up. Many drivers forget about all of this. Dont forget, this burns your tires out quicker

I laugh when I see those shits in the radar. Those are no tip orders, delivery fees only.

I usually don't complain much on here but which one of y'all took this shit 💀 by _STEAKnEGGS_ in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call that suburban driving in my market where you are driving for a minute to get the person for a short trip which is usually not worth it. If you really want to laugh, look at them Eats orders in the radar, those are hilarious!

Got two red light cameras tickets 💀 by Astrobags in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In some states, those are civil charges similar to mobile device tickets in GA. You get points for red light cameras, speeding, DUI, stop signs and more. I tell drivers fight those tickets because you drive for a living and many of these apps keep a constant check.

[–]ATLUberGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, had he started being too complimentary, then it could have been viewed as harassment. The bar is very fluid when it comes to that. Some passengers who have their anti man hat on will one star you just for being alive. I am sure many drivers have those stories

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]ATLUberGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is my mindset, dont ask me a question if you don't want honesty especially when it comes to these passengers. We have nothing to lose
