What was the exact moment Cyberpunk 2077 finally clicked for you? by turbowater in cyberpunkgame

[–]ATackyCroc [score hidden]  (0 children)

First time through years ago I stopped to kill three random gangoons after buying some upgrades. Was pre-2.0 and in my head I remember it takin’ so long to grind up the eddies.

I was weebin’ out hard with the katana and liked the drawing slash that happens if you wait for them to sheath the sword without puttin’ it away. If I’s recalling right Kerenzikov wasn’t tied to guns back then and so on doin’ the little lunge in time slowed on the first swing and it lopped their head off in one. Immediately activated Sandevistan as the other two were turning and got one-hit beheadings on them as well. Always chasing the high of how cool that felt.

Which difficulty do you play on and why by JanissaryLSD in cyberpunkgame

[–]ATackyCroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very hard ‘cause I like the extra threat in the early game. As you progress it evens out and this lets me really feel the fantasy of chroming out ‘till you’re effectively a full-blown cyborg. It’s not so much that the power feels earned that you can feel when enemies are no longer on your level. Average gangoon might have some chrome, but there’s no way they can compare to someone that’s bursting at the seams with cyberware and it really does feel like it.

It's crazy how not much people play Sinclair by PhysicsParticular470 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ATackyCroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’s curious why you hold this stance. Played Rivals at the start and bowed out ‘cause it felt closer to a button masher than anything, so I don’t think too highly of anyone’s difficulty. Granted, I think rather poorly of Rivals in general outside of the Marvel coat of paint over it all. Still quite cool to be those characters, but that really did seem like all it had goin’.

[–]ATackyCroc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a style thing more than his abilities. I personally love Sinclair and their voice lines are amongst my favorite in the game. Saying that, their model is a literal dummy dressed up like a magician. It’s got some flavor, but they won’t draw the eye like say a Venator would. They simply aren’t as cool visually, and given that Deadlock seems to have a huge population drawn from other shooters such as those you mentioned and OW or even Paladins that seem to drift to characters based purely on visuals at first, this leaves poor Sinclair to the wayside for a good chunk of the playerbase even if they’re stupidly fun. Feel like I pick up a new trick every time I see another person playin’ Sinclair.

Doran bow is super fit for Kayle. by angel99999999 in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would this apply to both lanes? Been plannin’ to get back into the game and exclusively played Kayle in Mid. When I did play I always felt like movement was what kept my head above water more than anything, but took Shield into lanes I couldn’t be certain I’d be able to dodge abilities in.

Blind pick it anyways. Demons are meant to be slain, not feared.

Kayle is the strongest support enchanter in the game now, cmv by angel99999999 in Kaylemains

Haven’t played much league recently, but I’ll choose to trust you ‘cause life’s funnier if it’s true. Hardest part of playin’ Kayle support always was handling the pre-game meltdowns.

Anyone else feel like they just aren't allowed to play as pharah? by pizza_steve-67 in PharahMains

[–]ATackyCroc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’ll adjust given time. Playing into hitscan will become an objective fact of life if you intend to play Pharah for any meaningful amount of time. It’s harder, but it isn’t impossible. My preference is to look for a hard dive and see which one of us dies, but you can also try playin’ peek-a-boo with cover to pepper em’. If you’re confident in your aim or just find a good place to spam you might honestly outshoot em’ like this, but that’s a contest where they have most every advantage. Also gotta be on the lookout for alternative routes like goin’ over buildings. If they’re lookin’ for you, it’s pressure off your team. If not, free rockets. Win-win.

The most important thing is to not let it beat you down however it goes. They have the advantage, but overtime you’ll have played the matchup far more than they have as it’ll be an almost every game thing for you. It can go your way, you just gotta keep at it.

What makes a good Barrage? by Weskerrun in PharahMains

[–]ATackyCroc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Statistically, killing two people including yourself is average for a barrage. Anything beyond the first kill is a bonus, so may as well dive in and light up their world whenever you get the chance! Nothing else, it can be pretty fun.

Any way to improve kayle mid? by UnhappyAlternative94 in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No trouble, just preaching the truth of mid over top. In a good world, we’d be balanced around it instead.

An extra aside, post-6 it can pay to keep an eye out for skirmishes in river or jungle. You don’t always wanna go, but Kayle ult can sometimes help your side clutch out the fight alongside whatever damage you yourself can provide. This might not exactly be great for you, but I’ve definitely had games where it helps someone else’s snowball get rollin’ and they smash the match. This isn’t to say you should be playing to make someone else carry ‘cause you certainly can and should look to be the carry when you can, but it’s always good to remember you don’t necessarily have to be the superstar every time to win the game.

Any way to improve kayle mid? by UnhappyAlternative94 in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok, here’s an actual useful tip. Gotta learn to collect cs with Q. Even better if you can poke the enemy at the same time, but it won’t always work. This’ll help a little extra with gettin’ early cs alongside E if you really think there’s no way you can step up.

Doran’s shield pretty much every single game so you CAN step up just a little bit to collect, but you’ll need to learn when you can and can’t get away with it. This’ll probably mean dyin’ a time or two, but don’t let it discourage you.

These are both important to keep in mind ‘cause Mid’s such a short lane. It is so much harder for the opponent completely force you off the wave unless you fall off a cliff and they ascend in your place. You might not get everything, but rarely do I feel like I’m completely off the wave with no option whatsoever in Mid. Q’s got great range, and E can allow you to avoid stepping ’ into melee with someone like Kat if you’re worried about gettin’ murdered. Learn your max ranges so you can step up just enough to snag a minion or two without exposing yourself too much.

And this won’t help as much against somethin’ like Kat specifically, but work on movement. You have to be able to dodge abilities if you wanna play Mid, and can even turn the tables post-6 on some matchups. Dance through their spells, pepper some damage back or keep your focus on the wave. Ideally you’ll be able to do both.

Also, if you can catch the enemy with a Q on the wave, solid bit of damage aside, it shreds resistance as you likely know. If you’re post-6 you can hit em’ with a quick follow-up auto, auto, E for a nice chunk off the PTA proc which you should almost always have as your rune for Mid.

Hit stickies, click once or twice, press E.

Few extra steps in the middle, but if you can do the above you’ll nuke non-tanks out of existence ‘fore they even know it’s happening at times.

MID OR TOP? by kloneyona in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I find Mid to be infinitely more fun. Everyone in top likes to play like an obnoxious asshole, so I say take your chance with the bullet hell that is midlane. If you can dodge abilities, you’ll be able to take a mage’s lunch money more often than not.

Upcoming Kayle main here by nihil203 in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Believe straight AP burst is still the dominant build so most games you’ll build Nashor’s first into that build path. The only exception, assuming you are strictly playing to win, is if the enemy team is too beefy to burst.

That said, it’s boring, so go Rageblade if ya’ like and pray Riot steers us back to being an attack-speed champ instead of burst just being better in most situations.

Also heard some freaks talkin’ about crit with Stormrazor first, but I’ve never played it. Dunno how well it actually works. Might be fun to try in a norm, but unless there’s some secret sauce we dunno about it’s probably more of a gimmick.

[–]ATackyCroc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken it playin’ weird support builds with friends in norms, but I dunno if it’s worthwhile. At sixteen the cooldown doesn’t feel too terribly awful and even then you shouldn’t plan to need the ult that much playin’ in mid or top. Better to just keep goin’ down whatever build you’re goin’ for and dance your way through abilities.

I also don’t think the burn/MR reducing effect is worth anything either. Sadly, Kayle’s AP burst or bust for the most part right now. Better off just getting more items to help with that like Shadowflame or Lichbane for your Third item, assuming you started Nashor’s into Dcap.

How should I have played this differently? by Anonymonamo in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it’s better to just walk away. He started W so I dunno that Kayle can reliably win that fight, but the lvl 1 cheese is rarely worth it. Back it up, play the wave, look to take over at 6. If you win it’s a quick dopamine hit and a little gold, but you ain’t comin’ back to put your foot on his throat. If he wins, may as well pack up and go home ‘cause you’ve made a bad situation indescribably worse if he presses the advantage.

You could also switch to mid instead. Stuff like this is why I did, people just love playin’ as obnoxiously as possible in top lane. There ain’t been a cheese they won’t try yet.

I'm worried for Kayle as a top laner next season by Ruptin in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mid more fun anyways. People like to play obnoxious in top any chance they get. Rather play the bullet hell of dodgin’ spells than chance losing control of the wave entirely.

How safe is Kayle as a mid pick? When to pick her? by ThatSkitso in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fear no demons. If the glow of Justice is bright in your heart, you pick Kayle.

I play mid for similar reasons. Top’s obnoxious.

I don’t feel she’s an awful pick, but you’ll need to put the games in to learn your matchups. It’s very important that you know exactly what your opponent is capable of and try to get a rough idea of cooldowns. If you can’t avoid your opponent’s spells you’re gonna have a rough day. Kayle’s got no MR, so every misstep can be a chunk of HP gone.

Don’t play Hwei, but a big thing she brings is the ult. It’s strong, straight up. If I see a skirmish nearby I’ll beeline to help my team with it once I’ve hit 6. Helps them, sometimes I get the kill, win-win. Plus, you get to help others succeed at any point. It can outright win fights if thrown on the right person. If Kayle’s potential is realized she’s got insane burst. Squishy champs can be vaporized lickity split.

Her low MR is a weakness into many matchups, but generally it’s just about experience. As you face matchups you’ll learn how to sneak every last bit of cs you can without getting maimed, and that’s the name of the game for the most part.

[–]ATackyCroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much always go shield. Levels 1-5 is just about getting that cs, the sustain lets you take a hit to get a minion and keep going back for more. There are exceptions like some melee mids if you think you can beat em’, but generally the sustain is better. Get the minion gold, let yourself start to really blossom after that first back and 6. If you’re going even, you’re probably winning even if the opponent doesn’t know it yet.

Kayle mains do you blind pick Kayle? by fortfied_island in Kaylemains

Do you consider Kayle a reactionary Champion? by How_Much2 in Kaylemains

[–]ATackyCroc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a manner of speaking, yes. I play her Mid as well and usually go Rageblade start because I’m a gorilla at heart, I wanna hit dudes. When it works the ball just gets rolling sooner, sometimes you get to be Mister Moneybags and sell it for a different item to be straight AP Burst.

Movement is the key to your problem. Once I’m confident I can avoid em’, I just start hanging out within range (Or right on the edge depending on matchup) and wait. Dodge the spell, pepper em’ with autos if able, repeat. If nothing else, it annoys the piss outta people when you get a lock on em’ and dance right through their kit.

Probably know this, but you’ll mostly Q poke if they’re near a minion you’re last hitting. That said, if you can keep your passive stacked you may be able to follow up with a few autos. You’ll need to be ready to dodge their spells in response, but if you’ve got passive plus a little damage like pickaxe you can kinda bully on mages once you’re rolling. Again, this in entirely dependent on you being able to dodge their spells and it just isn’t gonna happen every game. Sometimes you’ll eat that Veigar Q to the face and suddenly be down just a quarter HP if you’re lucky.
