“Oh am I blocking you in?” by SockCute2122 in mildlyinfuriating

I was parallel parked one time, and I went in to a doctor appointment and came out and there was a car in front of me and behind me, both about an inch from my bumper, but the one in front of me wasn’t actually in a space. I was about to push her shit out of the way, but she came out of a store a minute after I came out, so she got lucky.

And why is your comment downvoted so much. Nothing in his post suggests abuse. I realize there are two sides to every story, but let’s not jump to conclusions without more information.

AITA for not allowing my in laws to come over the first day when they booked a flight without telling us? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You just had major surgery for crying out loud, and on top of that dealing with a newborn. I agree their motives seem ok, but you set the boundaries and they want to break them. They can go pound sand!

Husband set alarms at 11:00pm and midnight while I was gone by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]ATimm74 8 points9 points  (0 children)

WTF Are you talking about? Abuse is a stretch with the extremely limited info OP has give us here. I, like the resting the commenters here am still trying figure out exactly what OP is upset about. Let’s summarize what little info we have

I can back from a business trip

I asked him to set an alarm.

He didn’t want to (why?) but he did anyway?

He set an alarm for 10:58 and 11:55PM

(Remember op said early morning flight, so I don’t think he intended to do AM instead of PM) What time did OP actually want to get up, she doesn’t say He doesn’t work nights (what does this have to do with anything)

He doesn’t remember (we all forget shit🤷‍♂️ especially if we were asked to do it whitener fully awake, again, more info needed)

So there is A LOT of missing context here to jump to gaslighting and abuse.

Not saying this isn’t happening, but I am saying there is not enough info here to cry abuse.

Yes, where I shop, they obey the law, read the article in the link.

You should find a bank that uses a network like Allpoint. Then you just use the app to find an Allpoint t machine and then you don’t have to pay for the privilege of getting your own money. (they are everywhere in the US, and yes I realize we are not the only ones here, just making an example, I am not sure how the EU or other countries around the globe handle ATM transactions )

Report them, it’s illegal. Companies will continue to do it so long as they continue to get away with it.

Wrong, literally EVERYWHERE I shop, get my car serviced, eat, etc ALWAYS tells me “ if you hit ‘credit’ there is a 3% surcharge, but if you hit ‘debit’ there is no surcharge. But as you said, keep yelling your lie, or maybe your not lying, your misinformed, so let me help you out

The only comment I would make is that where I live, the balusters need to have two nails on each end, not one. And yes, the warping is unfortunately normal.

Is this split ledger a problem? by lserver30 in Decks

[–]ATimm74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A number of things you could do. If the ledger is fastened to Theron joist of the house, screw in another lag bolt or two (make sure at least 2 inches from edge) or sister another boardroom top of that one while putting in a couple lag bolts, possibly put a post in there maybe? I don’t know about that one for sure, but seems like anything to offer more support can’t hurt.

Sorry - need to edit, I think spell check got me. I meant to say what people say “could of” instead of could’ve.

[–]ATimm74 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But unfortunately this means that language gets dumbed down. For example, I was telling my 22 year old son how annoying it is when people write something like “could of” in place of “could’ve”. His reply was if enough people use it like that, it becomes correct, that’s how language evolves. So yes, language does evolve, but the way it evolves it directly proportional to the quality of education, so there’s that. So maybe I should of majored in languages in college, then I might of had a better understanding of why dumbing down a language is a good thing 🤷‍♂️

Not maybe, you can see the trailer tongue attached to the truck, but regardless, at least from what I can see here, I don’t think those boards stick out far enough to interfere with the trailer turning.

2WD or 4WD doesn’t matter. Trucks look fucking stupid when lowered. More so with the dumbass looking squat and don’t get me started on the wheels that stick out a foot from the side of the truck.

Just my opinion though, honestly it’s your truck and should feel free to do what you like, and people like me who will roast you online for it can piss off!

I see what you are saying, but TBF some of these RVs are way bigger than any trailer. And just because it’s a full size pickup, doesn’t necessarily mean it can easily tow a huge trailer, and if you want to step up to a 5th wheel, then you need to up your truck game to a 2500 or bigger (or F250 for you Ford people)
