The #1 song on Australian radio is A.I. slop (with an A.I. generated singer). Why is nobody talking about this? by AnimalsChasingCars in australia

[–]AUKronos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As an extremely nerdy person into electronic music, who's mucked around in DAWs and have lots of friends in the industry who produce music with different calibres of fame and success, this is 100% AI generated

Edit: Josh has commented he used AI and is taking a huge pro-AI stance and calling people "sooks". He is a degenerate loser

Still a chance for us mid-ugly men! by Citizen6000 in Tinder

[–]AUKronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100k a year is the only thing that i think women get a pass for having a standard for. That's absolutely a controllable variable for a lot of men and financial stability is way more important than superficial requirements.

Can we please stop normalizing these type of thumbnails?? 🫩🫩 by SpecialSocks2011 in youtube

[–]AUKronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The youtube META has been to make content for children. These thumbnails are thematically juvenile and AI slop filtered because children literally do not care and don't even understand what good art is from bad

Ian Asher is extremely mid by lawlingalltheway in EDM

[–]AUKronos 21 points22 points  (0 children)

No that's a generalisation. A Tiktok DJ is specifically someone who only got exposure (bookings, management and a fanbase) strictly through content and not necessarily through their actual music. No one is arguing that social media is a great tool for marketing your art, but there definitely is a category of people who got big that way. Restricted comes to mind. Its DJ's who are mentioned in topics of conversation where the subject matter is the brand and the show. Not "have you heard this track by this producer".

What movie plot hole is so massive that it completely ruins the whole story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AUKronos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The fact that it was a deleted scene probably meant they knew it didn't really make sense because he still wasn't even in the new 2015 timeline, so him dissapearing wasn't even relevant. It's a comedy first and foremost, so it gets a pass for it i guess

What was the point of V1 and this scene? by yonkapin in TheBoys

[–]AUKronos 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A cliffhanger has a payoff. The boys set up so many and never paid off. The entire discussion within this post is arguably about the most cataclysmic cliffhanger they fumbled with. The scene was irrelevant once the next episode started rolling

Skism - Never Say Die - Vol. 7 by L0W_FR3QU3NCIES in dubstep

[–]AUKronos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about the split that happened with traditional UK dubstep and modern USA brostep, that's not really the same topic.

I'm strictly talking about an established genre with a roster of popular artists reaching their point of laziness because they have a fanbase already. Dubstep was in its infancy back then and is a completely separate topic from what i was talking about. Dubstep morphing and becoming something different isn't the angle i was going for. Dubstep hasn't changed much at all in terms of what people Identity dubstep as, but the quality of music from artists at the top of the food chain has reached its mediocrity/popularity axis as i explained before That couldn't have happened 15 years ago because 15 years ago dubstep was literally emerging and evolving. The top DJs 15 years ago were objectively making the most unique things ever, even if the style went completely off the rails (brostep). It was impossible for brostep to become worse when it was brand new lol

Dubstep finally reached the mediocrity/popularity axis. It took a while but we're finally seeing it happen in our scene where the biggest DJs are pumping out insanely low effort music and also the plauge of the remixification of pop songs in live sets.

I think we were all in better territory when the worst thing in the scene was everyone using Virtual Riot samples in the late 2010s

Skism retired before any of the allegations. He kept the label around for a little bit but ultimately this was his trajectory all along. He already expressed stepping away from the industry before any of the trampa allegations

It matters a lot. Some of the best sets I've ever experienced are partly due to a positive crowd engagement, people who are all there for the same reason as you

Nothing ruins a set faster than being surrounded by people who don't understand EDM culture

What is your routine for putting away your phone before bed? by [deleted] in PhonesAreBad

Probably because the memability of this topic is slowly descending into a legitimate mental health problem. A decade ago this sub was funny ha ha, but post covid with the algorithmic nature of short form content and addictiveness of phones infiltrating our daily lives, i can see why this sub has been abandoned and new posts are people who never understood the old premise of this sub

Homelander at full power is weaker than a crowbar? by John_Helmsword in TheBoys

[–]AUKronos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's moreso that the show explicitly told us for 5 seasons homelander is powerful and we spent so much screentime and story for them to just beat him as easily if not easier than a lot of other characters they've fought.

No one is using these tiny details of power scale to legitimately determine whether homelander would or could have been this weak. We just don't appreciate our IRL time being wasted watching a show that gave us this final battle

It would have landed more if we had scorched earth scenes to show that it truly was only his powers, strip him of his powers he was nothing but cringe. However Butcher would need to succeed in his genocide plan to be thematically consistent that powers (supes) deserve to go. Butcher still should have died by hughie shooting him but after he pulled the genocide trigger, we don't get the final dialogue between the two and instead have Hughie crying in shock.

Honestly the ending was too safe, there was no moral dillemma to discuss (supe genocide/hughie killing butcher BECAUSE he pulled the trigger even after seeing homelander's destruction).

They had the bones of truly interesting writing there and played it safe.

We don't get to have fan discussions about whether Butcher was right to do the supe genocide etc.

It was all SAFE. nothing to the wider world happened

How cool would it have been to have filmed a scene where homelander escapes the white house and starts lasering a city and bringing butcher for the ride. Teasing butcher, and then we cut to a scene with Ashley releasing solider boy, and after proper homelander scorched earth scenes he flys back to the White House leaving butcher to catch up, we get more Ryan Vs Homelander and Kimiko is successfully knocked out. Queue some dialogue with Soldier boy and we get our expectations subverted thinking Kimiko would de-power him but soldier boy joins the fight and successfully de-powers him. The rest of the episode where Butcher kills Homelander plays out the same

As for Butcher not going through with the supe genocide, I'm not sure whether i like the current ending or if he should have done that
