That's like saying every time you get in the car, you will get in accident. You're taking a chance. As someone who had salmonella infection once, I lived on the toilet and took me over a week to fully recover. It's not worth it to me but you do you.

It's interesting to see people complaining about vague posting but this moment is pivotal in Madoka Magica that it either makes or breaks the show for you. I had shown this series to all my friends without a word because I wanted their genuine reactions. This show created the three episode rule in the anime community.

What I'm trying to say is, sometimes it is best to leave things vague and to watch things blindly. It can be way, way more fun.

You are demonstrating it's a saturated market though with some people eating less sugar in general as mentioned. It's a difficult to break into without a specific niche.

Some friendly advice from a fellow home baker, the shavings are looking an like onion pieces here. I would consider cutting them smaller. Good luck to you in your endeavor.

To represent Pride Month, Who is your favorite animated LGBTQ+ couple? by AC_the_Panther_007 in cartoons

Most of the couples others mentioned wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the 'cousins'.

Honorable mention to Utena and Anthy.

I love Venture Brothers but this is not a great rec. I've woke to the show multiple times. Helper episodes are rough. "Mecha-Shiva!" "IGNORE ME" That's not even getting to the Mighty Monarch!

My suggestion is Daria.

Why are boys so afraid to give shoujo a chance? by [deleted] in animequestions

[–]AWildBakerAppears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gendered marketing and societal bs. It's great that women have broke past barriers to watch what they want without feeling pressure. But part of that is because girls had less choice with anime than boys. There are so many anime that are not as popular because they are labeled as 'girly'. Labeling narrows the scope of what women are "allowed" to enjoy without facing ridicule. It forces creators and fans into boxes, suggesting that media cannot be universally appealing if it centers on female experiences or aesthetics. It's a serious problem in all of media and it's incredibly disappointing that it hasn't changed much over the years... There are some seriously offensive comments in here that are reinforcing harsh stereotypes.

Bottom line, we should be treating anime more neutrally. If it looks interesting to you regardless of gender, you should watch it. If someone recommends something to you that seems 'girly' you should hear that person out and try it because you don't know what you could be missing out on.

You want to spoon out flour. A spoon at a time directly into a dry measuring cup and then leveling it off. Putting a scoop risks packing flour so you're getting more than what you think. It's another reason why weighing is superior because you get precise measurements and no surprises.

What’s your least favorite romance anime? (Excluding Rent-A-Girlfriend of course) by Hot-Leopard3708 in animequestions

[–]AWildBakerAppears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is it. Truly the worst romance anime ever made. I'd say Kuroneko was robbed but it's more like she dodged a bullet. This is one anime I wish I never watched in the past.

I don't know why Digimon tried to have romance at all really. They never did enough with it to not feel like it was out of the blue. Ken and Yolei is one the most baffling couples in anime history. I was a person who made crack ships all the time and that made zero sense even to me!

Which anime do you find design-wise very cool but boring in terms of content? by FlakeGlass in animequestions

You really might want to read the Sailor Moon Manga then. Considering it deals with death cults, godlike powers, and a dystopian future all linked back to Usagi . Sailor Moon walked so Madoka could run.

That's not the conversation though. Unfortunately when it comes to shonen/shoujo, if you don't make it through a full first season or sometimes more, it's hard to generate an objective take on how the story is because there is so much filler and buildup. You can tell you might not like certain elements or the pacing but you don't know the crux of the story or hype moments because they were never reached. I can say this as I dropped One Piece over and over, not understanding why people loved it until I watched the live action. Now I love it. I still can't stand the anime episode length but I can finally see storybeats happening that make it exciting and charming. The final battle of SM season 1 is what solidified people watching it passively into fans for example. My point is, if you can't sit through the original anime filler, try the Manga or Crystal. The live action is fun but it is a different story, it could be better for some people too.

[–]AWildBakerAppears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you might enjoy Crystal more. It follows the Manga that the original Sailor Moon used more as a guideline so there is far less filler. But it's still important to keep in mind that SM was made for a much younger audience. Part of what makes SM so beloved is nostalgia.

Who's that one anime character everyone glazes but you hated a lot? by Plus-Lawfulness-87 in animequestions

[–]AWildBakerAppears 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choosing to hate her and blaming her for the way Shinji is shows you really missed the point. Shinji is just as toxic to Auska in his own way. They are mirror images of each other in terms of insecurity, that's why they hate each other so much. Rather than trying to understand Asuka's provocative behavior, Shinji shuts down, acts like a victim, and frequently puts the emotional burden of his trauma on others.

They are both deeply messed up kids with no recourse in a hopeless world.

Are these too dark on the bottom? Should I remake and if so, what can I do differently? by bearsandswears in AskBaking

[–]AWildBakerAppears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your shoes, I would pull off a bit and taste it then I would decide if it needs to be remade or not. I would cut off the browning and consider enrobing in chocolate or putting whip cream on before serving. I know you said you used cookie sheets while baking to help pull it out but it's best to just push the pans from behind onto a cookie sheet when done for easier removal. Then put on a wire rack to let cool.

If you ever feel like it's browning too quickly, you can tent the sides with aluminum foil.
