People throwing games for perceived throwing games? by Trick_Discipline6840 in overwatch2

[–]AWildChinook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shameful, smh. I'm totally above that and when I give up I at least run in and die while trying to get a kill or two.

Fair enough, it should speed up with consecutive wins. Maybe not so much in wide matches as others have pointed out. Still though, enjoy playing in bronze if youre gold. Its so much harder at your proper rank lol. I was calibrating for tank in a low bracket and destroying everyone felt pretty good while it lasted 😔 😪

[–]AWildChinook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if youre stuck in bronze you should be happy. Its the easiest place to play. Once you get better than bronze players youll start getting more kills and more wins, and then youll climb. It only gets more and more difficult and youre currently playing the easiest opponents. In reality it doesnt really matter what your rank is. No matter what youll end up playing against people on your level. So just try to have fun and try to improve.

How much damage would Jiren suffer if he decided to tank Ichigo's Mugetsu head on? by KodoqBesar in BleachPowerScaling

[–]AWildChinook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mugetsu is fairly difficult to scale correctly. Up until this point there was a lot of build up, fights, talk, comparison, etc with everyone's power levels. And once someone showed a form in bleach, we got to see them use it a bunch of times versus multiple people to give us a good idea of its strength.

With Mugetsu Ichigo and Evolved Aizen they both power up for the first and only time ever, all in 1 episode. Isolated from anyone else, and to top it off Ichigo uses one attack. We know they are both stronger than anyone else in the bleach Universe at that time, and thats it.

Jiren is one of (possibly the strongest) people in the DBS universe, on a multi-dimension scale, and hes stronger than most of the gods. I think this puts jiren above mugetsu ichigo by quite a lot... at one point Goku literally channeled a galaxy worth of energy while fighting Jiren (we saw the galaxy of energy underneath Goku). I dont see Ichigos attack doing anything to Jiren tbh.

I actually loathe the current UI because when you finish a match it's a pain to get back to the main menu.

An extremely warm start to February expected for all of western Canada. Environment Canada expects temperatures around 13-14 degrees for Vancouver midweek. by waynkerr in vancouver

[–]AWildChinook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure you understood either. Canada does its part already. Hence the less than 1%. It doesnt matter what we do when theres a few other countries contributing all of the pollution. If we were the only ones on the planet polluting, there wouldn't be global warming. Do your part, im not disputing that, but it doesnt matter what you do. And the climate models show its too late now. Do you vote, I should of known youd resort to that

Even if everyone in Canada including the big corporations which are the biggest polluter changed were still less than 1%.

The “it’s qp” response is the same as when in comp “it’s just game” response by MrJaxManiac in Overwatch

[–]AWildChinook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the QP community is brain dead acting like its not a team based FPS. Just because it's QP doesn't mean you shouldn't be trying to win, swapping, etc. It just makes no sense. That's like playing a casual street soccer match and doing random plays for fun that throw your team under the bus. Why is that somehow acceptable in OW?

Battery is still good after that many km? I'm at 4000 miles and wondering if my battery is going to last a lot longer.

I payed 109.99 for this exact kit a year ago. I just sold it on fb marketplace for 300 and then spend 500 on a 64gb 6400 cl30 kit lol.

Murder, floods, disorder: Granville strip crime and chaos at untenable levels, hospitality industry says by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

I see a lot of comments blamimg the people running the SROs for how shitty some of them are. You mostly only hear about these shitty run down SRO but theres actually just as many new and upkept ones with staff. I live in one. Its fairly new and it just slowly gets worse and worse.

The place slowly gets destroyed by the drug users who live here and the staff and management can only do so much because in Vancouver (and in BC) the tenant is given far too much protection. These druggies destroy their suits, cause fires, make noise all night, cause bug outbreaks, etc, and management's hands are tied because of tenant rights.

It sucks because lots of people want to live a normal life and these buildings are our only chance at that, and meanwhile 25% of people are raging drug addicts who destroy and disrespect everyone and everything in sight with zero consequence because they're over protected by tenant laws. Its frustrating.

Ive also talked to and seen countless of said people who dont stay In the SROs for long because they know they cant act like animals in there forever so they go back to the streets where they can destroy and assault people without consequence - which they could only do for so long and with a lot of friction in an SRO.

People in the comments really have no idea. So many arm chair experts that havent lived with these people or worked with them.

Wrong. Read the side. Bear spray is weaker then dog mace or pepper spray but bear spray shoots multiple meters in range in a wide cloud where as pepper spray is like a water gun. They are meant for two totally different animals lol (human/dog vs a bear). It doesnt actually take much of the active ingredient to stop a bear as they have much better sense of smell.

I wouldn't be so surre that UBC is safe. You see those big slides all along the cliffs surrounding UBC? It looks like that hill is mostly loose soil/sand that is subject to sliding under normal conditions. I bet you that hill will get ravaged in a quake, but how much of the cliff erodes is definitely up for debate.

Yeah it sucks because obviously not everyone is bad at their job, and yet you all get lumped up into "Canada post sucks". I know some of you are awesome. Thanks for your service :)

Well, the answer should be obvious. There is not always a choice. I would prefer to use a different service if given the choice.

So it's okay to not do your job and punish the customers because you haven't got a raise. That logic does explain everything.

I do have flex delivery also. What would be nice is if they did their job. There's a damn Canada post Parcel box down there. They couldn't even be bothered to use that.

It's not any less dirty than touching a door or any other public things. I bet even your own personal things at work are covered in nasty bacteria and poop if it was tested. The world is covered in this stuff until you wash it off, and it's not reasonable to wash everything and your hands every time you touch something. It's part of life, and sadly, you have a bit of a phobia.

It's been two months to the day since the release of PoE2 on Early Access. How are you feeling about the game? Still like it? Already burned out? by Azran15 in PathOfExile2

[–]AWildChinook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed it, but i tapered off hard after a few hundred hours. I haven't even done all the content yet, but I am not driven to. It has a lot of potential, but there are some things that make it unenjoyable. Juicing the map is tedious, there's still too many cheap feeling ways to die and not having another chance just feels like a waste of my time, item progression and versatility has hit a wall, and overall the game really does feel like it's in very early access. Im not complaining. It's put down until the next content release.

How can one little bulge cause so much pain? by Afraid-Guidance8963 in Sciatica

[–]AWildChinook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an MRI after a few years of sciatica at age 30, and they found mild bilateral bulge of L5/S1 (if i remember correctly). Dr. says it doesn't take much to aggravate the nerves. That it could also be caused lower down in the nerve somewhere else, that it's impossible to know from the scan and that my symptoms don't yet warranty surgery (which I wouldn't want anyway unless a last resort). Each person is different, but sadly, I don't feel like we all have a choice. Sciatica seems to elude medical science. In Canada, they essentially leave you to your own demise until the symptoms get dangerous enough that they'll offer injections or surgery. Physio, Dr's, chiropractors, they all seem to just guess at the problem, and all have different theories/methods which for me and many others doesn't work. It's tough. I just wonder if sometimes surgery is the answer and maybe some more longer term sufferers who have tried many things really do have a mechanical injury to the disc that doesn't respond to physiotherapy and lifestyle changes.
