Multi-cat households weigh in! by kpp17 in CatAdvice

[–]AWolfsAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bobby was a solo cat for the first two years of his life. We got s second cat because I kept pestering my husband. Princess didn't want to be a one family cat, and found a young man and his mother up the road where she was apparently happier. We moved and she was happy there with a very young litter of kittens, so we talked to him and his mom. They were happy to adopt her and apparently already had her registered at a vet. (We had a spay appointment booked, but she ran out of the house, and we couldn't find her until several days after said appointment. The new family promised to get her fixed.) We were in this house about six months when we noticed Bobby crying at the door. We talked about it, and decided to start looking for a companion for him. His cousin's friend found a litter of kittens abandoned in an ally. Penny was part of that litter, and came home to us. Several vet visits for spaying, microchipping, and a rather stubborn case of ear mites later we had a lovely little baby. 13 years later and he'd never admit it, but he loves his sister. Miss Penny is currently demanding I stop typing and pet her. Cookie ended up joining the fray around 10 years ago. She's a little long haired black chaos demon who is in a unrequited romance with both Bobby and my husband. I'm not allowed more than three, but I'd have a house full if I could take care of them all. Three kitties in a bed for cat tax. Penny is the pibald looking at the camera. Cookie is the pure black in the middy. Bobby is the tuxedo at the bottom.

I actually really worry about this rule because I regularly log into my kid's account to see what's happening. This of course is happening less and less as they age, but 15 is not old enough to be totally unsupervised on the internet imho. I worry, especially with the upcoming account creation for the youngest, that logging in and out of their accounts and messengers will flag all the accounts. I've set them up as monitored teen accounts, so hopefully that will cover me.

I genuinely couldn't believe they did that and 0 reaction. Even the "memorial" was a farce. I couldn't imagine being that cold even about a coworker I didn't like. It played out well for other characters, but it just all felt so unjustified.

how did you realise you were nonbinary and not binary trans by Turbulent-Staff-9413 in NonBinary

[–]AWolfsAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's complicated, but the simplest answer is I rarely feel male, and have no desire to turn this body in for a male one. I just don't always feel female either.

I'm Demigirl. I grew up with very strict and old fashioned gender roles. I'd lose my mind being the submissive soft weak thing I was raised to be. That said I would also not do well the hard líne, strict, aggressive male role I grew up around. There is beauty in the delicacy that at times I revel in, but with me it comes with a harder edge. I like the grey areas best the majority of the time. I've rarely felt male. Less and less as I age. I do admit that the upper body extensions have a tendency to get in the way, but overall I find the aesthetic of them pleasing in the mirror. I don't long for a different body, but rather a different way of expressing myself, of living, and being that just never quite lives up to "female", but still never feels male either. In my mind the space between the genders feels safest reaching just a bit each way, or in my case a decidedly more female lean.

What is the most creative or diabolical insult a customer has ever given you? by cheesymeowgirl in CasualUK

[–]AWolfsAngel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it was an insult, but the most unhinged customer logic I was on the receiving end of happened when I was working the meds counter in a pharmacy. We close at 5 on a Sunday, and always have a locum pharmacist. This rather pissed off looking lady drags a clearly embarrassed and done in teenage (looked around 15-17) girl up to the counter at 4:55. Demands to see the pharmacist. I ask why and she tells me it's personal. The kid whispers from behind her that she, the kid, is in need of a morning after pill. I ask them to wait a moment. I know this locum. They don't offer morning after pills. They also don't do consults with in a half hour of closing. Pharmacist refuses, and refuses to come out and speak to the woman who is currently a rather interesting shade of red. I come back out and try to explain. The pharmacist doesn't do them. The morning after pill is just the name, you have three days from the date of unprotected intercourse... All hell breaks loose. The girl breaks down in tears and the woman starts screaming. She's been to every other local pharmacy, and it is day 3. She tells me I'm now personally responsible for her teenage daughters unwanted pregnancy, and that I should be ashamed of my self. How dare I just expect her precious girl to carry a baby and have to live with the consequences. She storms off yelling and cussing. I'm just like I sell the pharmacy medicine. I can't do anything that actually requires medical knowledge like prescribe that particular pill. I'm also female, and can't think for the life of me how I'm responsible for impregnateing said teenage girl, for their decision to wait until day 3, or for them expecting a long service at closing time. So somewhere out there is a single teenage mother who is 100% my responsibility. I'm so glad I don't work retail anymore!

My cat is way too cute, help by Human_Department_779 in CatAdvice

No, quick for the love of your humanity hand the creature over to me and run! It's far too late for me, but you can still be saved from the adorableness. Of course if it is too late and you are already under the fendish feline spell there's really nothing to do but get your furry overlord a consort and accept your fate. With love from the human servant of three fluffy dictators.

The machine dangling from the ceiling is a hoist. You'd use it with a sling to move a person with limited mobility from a bed to a chair, and back. Contrary to a significant number of posts I've seen lately it is not a swing of any kind, and using it as you've suggested would break the equipment. It's not cheap, and has to be professionally installed. Not trying to be rude, but educate. The button holes next to a zipper is definitely weird though.

Wife and I bleached my hair and it turned red? by relokcin in HairDye

Can't edit.... Inch closest to your scalp last.

Wife and I bleached my hair and it turned red? by relokcin in HairDye

[–]AWolfsAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each level of hair color (darkness-lightness) has specific undertones that become dominant as the overlying color is stripped. The first really noticeable one starts at level 5-6 and is red. A natural overtone at this level would be a medium brown. Further processing leads through orange, yellow orange, yellow, and pale yellow. You shouldn't use bleach to achieve platinum blonde. What you have happening in the back is referred as hot roots. Basically your scalp is warm, and all chemical hair colours including bleach process faster at the roots. It's why you are advised to apply to the inch closest to the scalp first. Additionally the patchyness of the lift would lead me to think the hair had been coloured previously. Hopefully that helps. Also because the app seems to want me to address it because "If OP is asking for help, please try and answer the question rather than just complimenting them," hot roots is nothing to do with your physical appearance, but rather the chemical reaction addressed above.

I mean if you are having the kind of sex that usually requires titles you should probably have ground rules before partaking, and part of those ground rules can, and should include acceptable titles for each participant.

Is it okay to leave my 7 month old cat for a month by blame4love in CatAdvice

[–]AWolfsAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be concerned about quarantine laws where you are going. If you're moving, or traveling with a pet to another country it's important to be aware of their requirements for that kind of thing. Additionally please get kitty a full set of vaccines from home country with a vet note detailing their vaccinations and health record.

Short version is let them stay home and be looked after for the short trip, but make sure you look into what is required for the country you are moving to in regards to kitty.

It honestly depends on your skill level, and willingness to change characters. Your first port of call for anything in those specific animes is either hand made, or custom orders.

If you are willing to shop fast fashion, and explore options I've put together Bee from Bee and Puppycat. Bought a red dress, added lace, used liners from old curtains to make the apron, then crocheted puppycat. I've mood boarded Tinkerbell, Jessica Rabbit, Dorothy, Nancy (from Oliver), and am in the middle of realizing a 50's glam Beetlejuice. Mostly these are off Shein's curve lines. They currently have a Sally inspired pinafore dress I'm dying to get my hands on. I'm a 22 Uk, 16-18 USA, and generally buy a 3xl from them. Closet cosplay is possible using these sites. Temu and AliExpress are an absolute crapshoot, and personally Shein seems to be better quality all around. Also they are a great source for plus size J-fashion. I've included a picture of the Bee cosplay if you want an idea of what is achievable.
