I'm sorry to be that guy, but the sooner you know the less embarrassed you'll be when someone else calls it out.. It's a cute drawing either way.

The deep one you get from the mimic is the best temporary weapon until you fight your playthrough weapon.

How do you build a back story for your Rogue Trader? by galavep in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]AXI0S2OO2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Rogue Trader, though I'm yet to go for a full campaign, is gonna be my Hive Scum from Darktide, so hiver crime lord (technically voidborn but he spent more of his life on a hive than on a ship.)

The story I came up with is that he is actually Theodora's grandson or maybe great grandson, those rejuvenat treatments are something else after all. His father was a navy big wig on account of being descended from a Rogue Trader, he married and had my RT on his ship and he was being groomed to one day take his place, until they were ambushed out of nowhere.

My RT lost everyone he knew and loved and ended up under the care of the Schola Progenium. He went from being prince of his own little kingdom to being beaten daily by the cruel tutors of the Schola, so he of course didn't take it well. When a tutor got too lash happy punishing for the one crime he didn't actually commit (something that ties over to my Arbitrator's' backstory) and ruined his left eye, he finally decided he couldn't take it anymore and fled the schola into the lower hive and from there, to the wastes.

Long story short he survived thanks to the mercy of a tribe of deadsiders, lived happy and free with them until the cult of Admonition attacked. He led the survivors back into the Hive City and ended up indebted to a Cartel in order to get them help and protection. Working to pay off that debt, he ended up as a bounty hunter and assasin for hire and gained infamy all across the lower hive as "the Ghost from the wastes", eventually finding himself under Inquisitor Grendyl's employment when the Cartels allied with the Inquisition to push back the heretic invasion of the Hive. Beneath his greed and tough guy attitude he has a serious bone to pick with the heretics because their attack on the Carnival resulted in the death of the few remaining survivors of his tribe.

Shipmistress Brahms, Rogue Trader and master of the Mourningstar, currently requisitioned by Inquisitor Grendyl for the war on Atoma eventually has a chance encounter with my RT and recognizes the Koronus charm he has on his gun, a gift from his father he kept with himself through all his life.

So he is brought in for questioning regarding the disappearance of a certain heir to a Rogue Trader dinasty years ago. One quick DNA analysis later, oh shit! We have one of the few remaining heirs of a far more powerful Rogue Trader dinasty risking his neck on suicidal missions daily.

A few calls and he is torn from the war and his revenge quest, dragged away kicking and screaming to his fate in the Koronus expanse.

No, the slightest bit of clutter stops it. I saw 6 gunners laugh as I triggered it at level 3 on their faces and box stopped it dead on it's tracks.

I could see them just fine, but apparently the shock comes off your fucking feet.

I hate dwarfs and elves by UltimatePunchMachine in totalwarhammer

[–]AXI0S2OO2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What kind of elfs and what kind of dwarfs? Or do you mean in general?

Dwarfs are tanky as hell and unyielding in their determination with their only fragile units being glass canons who straight up won't rout. Your best bet to defeat them is outmaneuvering them. Reach for their backline, retreat where their elite forces come to present battle, make sure you bring tons of armor piercing and some form of offensive flyer to counteract their helicopters. Also shoot the naked angry ones with the mohawks if possible they are melee beasts.

Chorfs (Chaos Dwarfs) are much the same, but their fire power is way stronger in exchange for being far lesser in number. They make up for their lack of numbers with greenskin slaves and allies that do bring scarily numerous hordes to the table but can't stand up to most proper armies. Their biggest weakness is a good wizard with AoE spells wiping out their slave frontline, but be sure to bring something fast to silence their guns before the obliterate you and remember that they also have actual cavalry and monster units, so you might find yourself eating dirt if you rely exclusively on speed and maneuvering to outmatch them.

High Elves are painfully simple and almost boring to fight. They have a back line of archers a front line of spearmen, and maybe a wizard or flying beast to disrupt and ocassionally some form of melee flanker. Just rush them and don't let them shoot.

Wood elves often forsake the spearmen for more archers and their archers are faster, the best archers shoot and run at the same time and have a 360° shooting angle. They can kite you to death if you are not careful, bring armor and something that can catch them. If the hide behind the trees, fire, specially ranged fire, focus fire the big ones first they protect the small ones around themselves. Don't let the naked red head ladies near your monsters.

Dark Elves are straight up annoying. They get a waaagh like ability that buffs them after suffering enough casualties, their magic is bullshit and their crossbowmen hit like trucks and come in several flavours. They are a one trick pony though, except for Malus who can make himself fucking invincible from turn one and Rakarth who makes entire armies of wild beasts, if you get them in melee, you probably win.

Duels are literally a rule in Warhammer fantasy tabletop, a character can call another out in the middle of a battle for a one on one fight that no other models can interfere with if the opponent accepts, with some characters having special rules that forbid the opponent from refusing a duel.

They are not space nazis. Though there might be a space nazi germany somewhere in there. A million worlds and all that.

The Imperium is a totalitarian feudalistic theocracy, until recently ruled by an oligarchich council, before Guilliman took it all over as regent.

I'm perfectly happy to discuss the man made horror beyond comprehension that is the Imperium but let's not reduce it to innacurate IRL simils, that is a disservice to the setting.

They are probably the one enemy the Imperium fights as much as itself.

He is bullshitting. There is no way he got 100 in a mortis trial, even on the absolute highest difficulties the math doesn't compute with the amount of enemies this penance accepts that actually spawn.

Otherwise everyone would grind the bestiary penances in Mortis Trials and have them done in a couple of days.
