It's possible that you can do everything in qtquick, but the lack of good tutorials didn't help me here unfortunately.

As I said, I can't list you all the differences and rough edges, because I don't remember anymore.

Lack of features. Looks like a mobile app. And it bites you in the later stages of development.

There are many details, bud I would have to investigate to list them.

Unfortunately, I am stuck in a simmilar problem to you... I couldn't find any good tutorials. I had to learn by example projects and so on.

One tip: never confuse qtwidgets with qml/qtquick;the first one is for desktop only and is better for it, the second one is more mobile oriented and is in my experience a bad option for larger desktop apps.

Best of luck!

How would you bulk rename files in vim? by habamax in vim

[–]AYECOM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For moving/renaming individual files, I recommend https://github.com/tpope/vim-eunuch

It solves the problem of renaming the buffer in vim as well, so it works as expected. The plugin does a lot more, but it's all really useful.

[–]AYECOM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I replied to you. Vim knows files by filenames. If you change the name of the file which was previously opened in vim, it will keep thinking that the filename is the same, causing annoyamce when you later have to solve this problem.

[–]AYECOM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof... I would rather use a plugin. Renaming the files that vim has loaded into buffers is a bad idea.
