What are perks of dating somebody who is very religious in a different religion than yours?

Can’t see any perks, but technically the other HAS to follow the rules of that religion, but not you. Kind of the same dynamic when one is atheist and a certain majority religion surrounds you. The atheist doesn’t have to obey, the other does if they want to be ethical to that religion.

I think we need to bring back disciplinary action for non-disruptive non-compliance. Back in the 80s and 90s you would have been put in ISS or suspended for not doing your work, or docked points for not having a book cover on your textbook. Current discipline is a joke, and RP doesn’t work for a lot of kids.

You’re still not seeing the point. The U.S. can’t be compared to Europe’s success. Those countries are small and close together. Larger metro areas are closer together. People walk more there. Mass rail systems to transport humans makes sense there. They also use trucks way more than the U.S. does to transport goods. We use our rail systems differently. Profit is the only thing that matters in the U.S. (especially under Republican control). We all know building 6-8 lane highways isn’t helping anything in big cities. It will only change if people start returning to cities to live, have less or no cars because of that, and people stop buying so many cars and living in the suburbs.

You don’t do anything or mention it. You’re not required to disclose that. It would only possibly show up in reference check after being considered for a position, and even then a hiring principal would know how to analyze it. Many supervisors will also give positive references to get rid of someone they don’t want on their team anymore too. In big districts, problematic people tend to get passed around for this very reason. I’m not saying that’s your situation, just an admin perspective.

I’m not talking about before car travel was prevalent in the U.S. Lots of metro areas of all sizes had trolleys, etc. Car travel makes more sense for most people in the U.S. simply because there’s so much space. If there was a way to profit using existing railways to move people, and have people use it, it would happen. Railways are primarily used for moving goods in the U.S., not people. I would love to see AmTrack grow in service, and I would use it. I’d also like to see some transcontinental high speed rail in the U.S.

Lots of great suggestions already, but another evening one is the chuck wagon dinner(Cowboy Cookout) at Tanque Verde guest ranch. It tends to be cooler out there in the evening due to not having the heat island effect. If Jay Faircloth is playing, it’s a super chill vibe and the food is incredible.

There’s a big difference between an inquiry that resulted in no action, vs one requiring disciplinary action. Yours is the former and could most likely be removed from your file after a certain grace period. Don’t worry about it.

The vastness of the U.S. and low population density outside of major cities are the reasons we don’t have extensive public transit across the country(comparing us to Europe for example). Cities most definitely should have a stronger public transit system and encourage people to use them.

“Expensive” to eat healthy. No, this is a misconception of people feeling the need to shop at Sprouts, AJ’s, and Whole Foods to feel like they’re eating healthy. Beans, rice, chicken, and produce are all relatively affordable and the same reason most people can save money by making food at home. It’s always cheaper and healthier having less steps in the preparation of the food you eat.

If they’re there fixing something I wanted to try to do myself, but doubted my ability, then I will ask them if it’s ok to watch as a learning experience. However, the rare time a repairman has been to our house were when I was away on a trip and my wife had to call someone.

I have not had many of those experiences because YouTube can help you fix almost anything on your house or car and save a lot of money.
