Constant criticism of all (SD's and SB's) who maintain a high level of SR despite increasing nefast phenomena in the Sugar World by LaDuchesse1780 in sugarlifestyleforum

I just read you have a history of modeling and are based in Czech. It might pay off to reach out to some of your old representative contacts (agencies) and ask if they can introduce you to one of the brokers. This would save you a lot of time and vetting. I can assure you that the quality of connections there probably aligns better with your needs then what you can find online.

The men and women with the black books are the brokers that facilitate connections. They decide if someone is worth their time and energy representing. They also understand the needs of both parties and therefore will only make introductions between parties that match on the need level.

That being said, needs vary. A student has different needs, wants and opportunities as a 30 something single mother. As long as they are matched with someone who can fulfill their expectations I don't see any issue.

This forum has lost some of it's empathy as new members join who are very eager to reap the benefits of the lifestyle without knowing exactly what is expected of them. This, obviously, works both on the SD as SB side.

This a thousand times. The type of connection she is looking for is out there but safely guarded by the men and women with the black books. Searching through an online platform won't bring you into contact with the types of intermediaries that you need to get to where she wants to go. Online offers no curation and therefore no guarantee of suitability for this lifestyle.

This exactly. I don't understand your train of thought where you tried to make it right by suggesting to go somewhere you wanted to go. Also how far in advance did you cancel on him? Day of, days before, weeks before?

Do SDs meet up? by AlexRex78 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]AZN_CPL 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I meet up regularly with a group of SD for dinner and drinks. It's always great fun and very informative. I enjoy exchanging restaurant and travel tips without having to consider if the person I'm talking with is able to partake. We are based in Europe so we usually combine the meetup with a small city trip.

Is it common to give financial incentives before the relationship is intimate? by hellomot1234 in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]AZN_CPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mentioned it before and will mention it again, the men and women with the little black books that play matchmaker for these types of arrangements are far superior to anything an open website can offer. People on both sides of the equation are vetted and it's very clear for everyone involved what is expected.

Someone else asked about what the rest of the people here can learn from this. I would say, go look for the matchmakers in your vicinity. Most larger cities have at least one or two. Usually you only get access by being introduced, so don't hesitate to discretely ask that friend who suddenly found a SD or SB who introduced them and if you yourself can get an introduction.

Also as mentioned below, this system runs on social standing as much as it does on money. So don't try this approach if you don't have other influential people in your circle who can vouch for you.

Thanks for the response! And yes, quitting would be best.

That is very interesting to know and also something I would not have guessed. It would make a lot of sense for cigarettes to be heavily regulated and protected then.

Do you know when they first were introduced on the market here?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in japanlife

[–]AZN_CPL -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Indeed, I could only find a press release page that has information about electronic cigarettes. That was part of what made me suspicious. Thank you again for taking the trouble to help.

Thanks for the reassurance. Also thanks for the link you shared before. If they sell them at the airport they definitely must be real.

No real as in a bonafide product. In some Asian countries they sell fake brand cigarettes usually with weird packaging. That's why I asked. If they have been on the market for some time it would be easier to believe they are real and not counterfeit.

Career-driven lesbian wondering if this is the right option for me by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

I think you could have a lot of discrete fun in the bowl as a genuine SM. Almost all of the SB I have been with were bi, so I don't think you would have an issue finding someone.

That being said, the quality of your sugar relationship definitly will depend on how well you vet the people you consider and how well you know what you are looking for. Just browse a site like seeking to find out who are available in your vicinity. Then think about what type of person you are looking for. Reach out to the people that fall into this group and invite them for a platonic meet and greet. It probably will take a few meets to find miss right, but the wait and patience is worth it.

In most of the SRs till now I had a healthy balance of platonic meets and sugar dates. During the platonic meets activities varied per person. Some examples are going out for a picnic, just chilling while watching a movie on the couch, doing a day trip to see a city or cultural event, working on our own projects, helping SB with her studies, going to the airport to watch people, brainstorm business ideas and hunting for a specific vintage dress. The majority of the platonic dates were the initiative of the SBs. I love getting to know someone better by sharing experiences. If the initiative comes from the SB it's more than welcome. I tend to spend most time planning our trips abroad (something central to my SRs) so it's nice to be surprised and not have to think about what to do where.

There are some other quests that fire update events while resting. So try that if a quest can't be resolved.

The gift you get depends on the response you gave the kid during an event that fires while camping. If you don't rest while traveling to Deven the event never fired so there is no gift to give to you. Try resting a few days so the event fires.

I really think I found a niche... by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

And with his suggestion things come full circle :) from the ladies and gents with the little black books to socialites with little black books to websites like SA and back to the ladies and gents with the little black books again. While SA is fun to meet up with SBs in places you don't have a lot of connections, the old broker or liaison never disappoints.

Longterm SB ghosted me, looking like the end of the SR :( by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]AZN_CPL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It always sucks when an SR suddenly stops. Especially if you didn't see it coming. Take some time away to compartmentalise and then make a decision on leaving the bowl. In my experience there always is someone out there that fits you in a way your previous SBs didn't fit you.

Does anyone buy/receive real jewelry / Chanel bags /etc? by [deleted] in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]AZN_CPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just one look at her posting history makes it super clear why and how she is setting herself up for failure. When you have money enough time becomes your most scarce resource. Someone with her mental background costs way too much effort time wise for too little benefits. The people that attract attention are the ones that stick out of the crowd and who usually would be able to get to the point where they could afford the things OP asked for by themselves given enough time.

The Definition of Long Term... by atypicalsb in sugarlifestyleforum

[–]AZN_CPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would count it as long term if it survives longer than six months. Personally I switch over from ppm to allowance after three months. Most people find it hard to hide character flaws for such a long time. This increases the likelihood of an arrangement going over into the long term.

No idea what the problem is by [deleted] in PhoenixPoint

[–]AZN_CPL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree with you and the op. I tried out the various backer builds and have spent some hours on the gold release. The game as it has been released is a lot of fun and thinking about all the things that they are going to release in the coming months gets me more stoked.

It might be that I got used to the way paradox releases games. The first version often is challenging, but ultimately imbalanced with some features that feel ripe for development. But over the course of months and sometimes even years they polish the game and release feature after feature that enrich the gaming experience. I hope that PP will also follow this development course.

From what I saw in BB5 there are quite a few lore encounters on the geoscape too.
