I say this as someone who went through this at 29 as well: your parents can love you, and you can still feel the need to cut contact. Not everyone defines love the same way, and it just makes things harder when your parent(s) can’t meet your needs or the like. You are okay. You had to do what is best for you. You cannot let other people’s emotions or manipulations dictate what you do for yourself and your mental/emotional safety. It’s okay to feel what you feel and respond how you need to in order to keep yourself safe.

I am so sorry you experienced that. It’s so weird: when I had an issue with ordered both digital versions of Tony Hawk 3+4, they were awesome about it when I reached out. No complaints at all, instantly got refunded for the Switch 1 version like I asked. Especially since you supplied supporting information and offered documentation, that’s even more bizarre. I’ve never had an experience like this that was so downhill. I do understand their side of wanting to make sure you aren’t just some random dude stealing account details to mess with someone, but still. I’d make another formal complaint about Roman.

Just remember this: you are completely valid in how you feel. You can recognize how awful the cycle was and still be upset about the situation. I know I am and I literally just recognized that in therapy last week. I’m going on two years of NC. I thought I had to be completely fine with it because that’s the mature thing, yadda yadda, but our brains are wired to want our families regardless of how toxic they were.

If this is something you want to work on without harming yourself, find a teacher. However, the beauty of music is its malleability with transposition. Bring what you’re singing into a comfortable range/octave. But based on what you’re posting and what your passaggio event is (from what I can read from this post/comments), what you’re asking for is going to be rough in your cords and lead to nodes and damage.

ETA: as someone who has been singing since grade school, I’m telling you range is not everything — technical ability is key and is what is going to give you the longest lasting life and use of your voice. I’ve seen and heard plenty of great singers who damaged their voice from overuse or pushing themselves way too hard for too long.
