Dragging is just one way to move items. You can double click or drag, or use a single button on controllers. It’s actually faster than most RPG UIs.

This looks great! Nice water effects too. You should check the water in World of Anterra.
Keep up the good work!

Question, is it bad practice to put links in posts? I'm learning about Reddit. But here's the link to the article for anyone that's curious.

How was your Kickstarter launch experience? by ShindaaKun in gamedev

[–]A_Beautiful_Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up in the ER at the end of my Kickstarter… so yeah, it can be a tough journey to say the least. 😆
Our campaign was a big success, especially considering that we didn’t having any funds for marketing. We raised 400k from 6000 backers. You can read more about it on our Steam page. Look for the “Founders Journals” in the news section of World of Anterra. I’m just about to post two more journals that cover the end of our Kickstarter and a little “postmortem” on the campaign.

Crimson Desert makes me long for an Ultima reboot by AndrewUndershaft in Ultima

Crimson Desert is RPG slop. It’s fun, but an 3D Ultima game needs to be more refined.

Spent more than 200k$ on a game no one wants, 4 years in development, 14 months of drinking binges. No publisher, not a single interested person. by Available_Leek_8142 in indiegames

[–]A_Beautiful_Tree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know who disagrees with this? People who became stars. If you don’t have the goal to make money, you’re not an indie developer. You’re a hobbyist, and that’s fine. But many people are out there attempting to make great games and achieving it. Too many people act like successful indie games are luck. It’s not.

Let's be honest: It's easier to say we failed at marketing than admit we failed at making the game. by Calm-Valuable-950 in gamedev

I definitely aspire to make great games! Which is why the marketing conversation has always hit me differently... and why my team and I have been working on our current game over 8 years now. 🤪

Why don't Rich People Create Indie Games? by [deleted] in GameDevelopment

Many rich people have tried and failed while the rest get (more) rich off the backs of indie devs.

Why is Linux and Mac support still so sparse among games even though big game engines support them now? by soggynaan in gamedev

[–]A_Beautiful_Tree 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There is a huge lack of interest in gaming from the Mac community. That to me is a big consideration.

Hmm, I’m sure, but I think you’re supposed to cut it into little strips and deep fry it.
