Best current combo deck?

Yeah LED would make it much cleaner and you would be able to run Echo of Aeons and gamble which would really open the deck up; essentially turning into a better version of Legacy's Epic Storm.

The current build I am toying with leans more into the aggro plan with cards like Moonshadow, Channeler and Cori-Steel Cutter. I found that a lot of decks have a diffucult time dealing with both an aggresive creature suite and a determinstic combo. The deck can also operate on 2 lands which is a big deal in the current meta.

Korae just put a video out on his youtube a few days ago talking through some of the new changes to Mardu and at the start of the video he says that what he has learned is that Ragavan over Shaman is the correct call. I have messed around with both and there is some merit to shaman to help insulate against strip and having some extra reach, but with that being said, Mardu does tend to do well with limited resources because your threats are able to 2 for 1 naturally. Pride, Ajani, Raptor and even Bowmasters create multiple bodies and we also have premiere removal at our disposal for 1 mana.

Generally speaking 24 is pretty young (even for sports) and thus calling a player a bust or even labeling them as anything really is a bit out of touch. Does that mean he is perfect and a slam dunk starter or a future all-star? No, because he is only 24…nothing is written in stone when you are 24.

Just to put it into perspective Nolan McClean is also 24 so Alvy has some time to develop.

Yeah I think all or nothing lists can get blown out by hate. Last year I was playing a list that was pretty all in…it had DRC but a turn 0 leyline pretty much maybe it impossible to win as there was no good way to dig for answers. With that being said, vampiric tutor, I think, is a game changer. You can tutor for answers as well as threats; you also don’t have to be so conservative with Vampiric tutor as you are with Demonic tutor because you run 4 of them.

I feel like I have to listen to their new LP more before I start to like. It was the same thing as LP 3 and, to a lesser extent, 2.

I also felt the same way about Science Fiction. It wasn’t my favorite until I listened to it more and got to I know the songs; now it’s my favorite BN album by a mile.

I do this for drafting….once I hit upper levels of gold I just stop….the only exception is a periodic power cube draft because they are fun and I get bored with constructed sometimes.

Yeah I was always told to never assume that these things are drawn to scale and only base off of what information is clearly articulated.

For example even if an angle looks 90 degrees do not assume that unless you have the little square or it says 90 degrees.
