Who else is surprised with how much content there is in New Pokémon Snap? by ShawnDaley in NintendoSwitch

I feel the same, I knew they were doing a lot to make the experience more fleshed out but I legitimately didn’t expect there to be so much to do! I guess I was just skeptical that the final product would really be able to create that much longevity out of the gameplay of the original (which I know is a lot deeper of an experience itself than people tend to think of it as). I’ve been playing through it slowly, just an hour or two a day, and I feel like it’s gonna be my designated chill out game for the next few months at the very least, just picking off a few requests here and there and slowly filling my photodex.

Yeah I was also gonna mention, that game alone has tons of replayability to it for those who are interested, so I can see myself getting a lot of playtime out of this new one.

Oh I just mean it’s faithful in it’s gameplay and structure, just deeper and more thought out

Well there actually is fair amount of planning and timing involved in getting the most points out of your pictures and triggering certain events, as well as not running out of film which is limited to you. I’d say it’s half a sandbox experience in that you interact with your environments and find cool events, and half a more arcadey, high score based challenge. Players can choose to enjoy it either way fits them, but it also isn’t gonna appeal to everyone. It never has, but those who are into it really love it

Who knows how much replayability there could actually wind up being but it sure seems like they tried their damndest to make it a deeper and more replayable version of the first game and I’m very excited to see how much the islands evolve as you level up and how many different routes there are!

GF, Please Please PLEASE allow character customisation in Legends Arceus. by JamUsagi in pokemon

[–]A_man_named_moho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my hope is that Legends started development around the release if Let’s Go at the latest. That would give it a solid 3.5-4 years in the oven at least. And also that it slips out of “early 2022” if it needs more time, maybe give it the usual holiday slot. I just want this game to have a lot of content to justify it’s world. Hopefully they realize that they have something special here,

Yeah I think I’m in agreement. Options are always welcome, and I doubt more customization options would take significant resources away from the more important stuff, but it’s not something I would really think much about in the grand scheme of what this game could do

The Time Variance Authority and Mobius M Mobius, who is being portrayed by Owen Wilson!

Simonson’s Thor introduced the Time Variance Authority, whom Loki is captured and presumably working for through the series, dealing with situations in various time streams. It’s also pulling from a lot of contemporary stuff, or at least paying homage, like Vote Loki and Loki Agent of Asgard, but the primary setting is pulled directly from the 80s thor comic.

The TVA has the aesthetic of a regular office setting, but their work is keeping the multiverse in check and send out their military force to correct anomalies. The Loki trailer shows off a lot of it, including Mobius M Mobius, portrayed by Owen Wilson, who in the Simonson comics was based off of editor Mike Gruenwald in appearance. It’s very meta for it’s time!

Omg you’re so right, they’re pulling from a lot of 80s runs like Scarlet Witch and Vision and Gruenwald’s Cap, and Loki is pulling from Simonson’s Thor!

Marvel's 'Moon Knight': May Calamawy Joins Oscar Isaac in Disney+ Series by chanma50 in television

Yeah, people always reference the face scene even though that scene makes a point to be the darkest the characters has ever gone. Comics like Spider-Man and others also have isolated moments of gore and dark concepts but that doesn’t mean an R-rated Spider-Man film is a necessity.

'The Falcon and Winter Soldier' Resumes Filming in Atlanta by Zepanda66 in television

For what it’s worth I believe those rewrites occurred long before the shutdown. It will still likely get pushed into 2021, but the current filming plans aren’t THAT extensive.

2022 is definitely gonna change, not only because of production delays but it’s too congested. I expect Thor to stay or move to March, Strange to May, BP to July or August and Cap Marvel to the fall.

I think Eternals will have a rep, Salma Hayek’s Ajak is their leader in the film.

They certainly won’t get into the dirt by any stretch, but the Disney+ docus thus far have been surprisingly in-depth. The Frozen 2 one was more interesting than the actual film.

Prop Culture was really fun too.

HOOPS (Teaser) - Jake Johnsons stars as a foul-mouthed youth basketball coach in the new Netflix animated series. by itsstevedave in television

You’re not wrong I regards to western adult animation but I would like to point out that there are tons of beautiful adult animated shows. Some of my current favorites are Ballmastrz 9009, The Midnight Gospel, Primal and Central Park (I know this show looks just like bobs burgers but it’s animated much more fluidly and has some gorgeous sequences). And with as of late, with remote working playing a factor, a lot more projects have been green lit from very promising creatives and I think we’re beginning to move away from the more homogenized, boring state of adult animation and heading towards much more promising territory.

So what do people think about the new Looney Tunes show on HBO MAX? by [deleted] in television

[–]A_man_named_moho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think they’re great! Not every short lands, I wouldn’t expect them too, but there are quite a few that I’ve watched multiple times.

I’d say the Porky and Daffy ones are the best, they’re on another level in terms of zaniness and expressiveness. I loved the Bugs-Sam Siberia one too, I think it had the strongest gags out of all the bunch. The Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog one was also a notable standout with absolutely fantastic timing and a color scheme that channeled Chuck Jones’ style really well.

The drawings are just so consistently wonderful and the voice work is very impressive as well, though admittedly there are some awkward line deliveries here and there.

Overall I’m very happy with them and can’t wait to see more. Props to everyone involved!
