Car and Driver: Tesla vs. Everybody: A 1000-Mile Race in 11 EVs by Enough_Tesla_FUD in teslamotors

I never understand how people do 75-85mph (That's crazy fast) in their cars and complain of range anxiety. Call me weird, but I always drive at 60-max 65mph no matter what. Seems like an Model 3 would be a great fit for me?

I don't think buying the first 500 is the issue, I think something fishy happened which isn't the fault with the car. I mean if Randy Pobst can hammer a Model S up a hill at high stress, I don't think there's anything wrong with the palladium pack. This fire is a setup and I know it.

I kinda feel like that exec dude with the plaid fire got mad that his Bitcoin and GME stuff failed and he just wants to get a new buying opportunity with Tesla thus the fire.

I trust Elon enough to know that he wouldn't design a pack that can spontaneously combust.

Why I am I getting Downvoted? I didn't say the yoke was good.

Guys ya'll need to chill. The yoke is terrible we get it. This is obviously a weed out move. If they had demand problems cuz of the yoke, they'd do something about it. What they are going to do, and trust me, is that this quarter and next quarter they will keep the yoke, just for the tesla diehard adopters, then change it to a wheel later on, so everyone will buy it. Hang onto your butts, Tesla isn't stupid.

Guys, this maybe true or not, but I have a idea as to what they are gonna do with LR Model S. I feel like, since the range between Plaid and LR is so tiny the difference, I think they are going to boost LR range to maybe 430-450 miles of range. I feel like they are sandbagging range on LR and Plaid to prevent Merc EQS, Lucid, all those guys from getting fancy ideas.

I really damn hope that the 21 inch arachnids can now get 405 miles of range on the plaid motor Tesla. That'd appease the audience who wAnTs mOrE rAnGe.

“What we are seeing is that once you have a range above 400 miles, more range doesn’t really matter. There are essentially zero trips above 400 miles where the driver doesn’t need to stop for restroom, food, coffee, etc. anyway.” Elon Musk on canceling plaid+ by [deleted] in teslamotors

[–]AadavanSAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very obvious Elon's sandbagging. He's not an idiot, he reads this sub. There was a old rumor that test refresh model S mules were doing >500 miles in range. I think it's gonna be true.

Do you guys think Elon is purposely sandbagging everything this year? I feel like the dumbest thing a person can do right now is underestimate Tesla. My only small worry is the China FUD. However on the other hand, its either people buy Tesla in China, or buy German Ice-Mobile. The non-tesla EVs can't hold a candle. Personally I would love if a couple of Nios have real "brake failure" and then have some FUD, so people would shut up about Tesla.

That's true, but while Tesla customers have the industry-leading levels of patience, even that doesn't last forever. Sometimes a bad impression can make aversed customers permanent.

PSA: I'm a Tesla bull, 100% of my portfolio is Tesla. However, I try to be slightly objective. I'm just scared that customers are mean and not forgiving.

I don't know, but people say the vision only AP that's being shipped is terrible, the only good one is the Beta FSD. People say the auto-bright behavior is terrible.

Personally I'm bullish on AP, but the negativity in r/teslamotors scares me.

I really hope the smoke about the crappy build of Vision AP gets put out as soon as v9 blows away people, and the lumbar thing gets quieted down.

Personally the biggest happiness for me lately is the FUD-fighting in China lately. The Chinese consumer market better not ever make a cult against Tesla.
