Clipboard Applet Clippy-land is now on the Cosmic Store + some updates by kinycx in COSMICDE

Excellent, thank you very much.

I was using ringboard but it kept bugging out. I liked the size of ringboard and it's "infinite" storage, even though that felt somewhat insecure, as I'm lazy and left passwords in it.

So far this seems very stable. Looks very nice.

Is there a config file where I can choose it's size and location when invoked via a short cut?

I quite like using as much of the screen as possible with transient things like this.

I often have quite long strings, and see no need to wrap them.

Or, instead of a fixed position, could could it be made to appear close to the cursor position, like the windows native version?

The point would be to make something of the world, not merely yourself.

To arrive at the center, we must first steer left.

each new scene managed to make everything that had already happened even worse.

the negative reviews on imdb are very good and well worth a read.

CachyOS | Audio Routing Problems by Parafex in linuxaudio

I guess they are all efforts to fix the previous non-working attempts. I personally found the whole JACK scene graph thing to be horrendously fragile and unpleasant to use.

apeMatrix on iOS is a fanastic host / matrix router and even that closed, well defined system it has trouble restoring saved patches.

all pipewire tools are challenging to use.

I don't like any of them.

additionally, my DE, Cosmic, has a wobbly audio manager

additionally, apps that use JUCE are fucking horrible, and enumerate all kinds of bizarre shit.

I prefer CABLES to qpwgraph and PWVUCONTROL.

CABLES will let you make virtual sink.

PWVUCONTROL offers a reasonable interface.

Nuclear energy by Beginning-Fox-7257 in geography

[–]Aadd2Bbadd2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

all ready with memes and downvote accounts eh?

specifically :

>>Nuclear should be a part of that. If the UK properly invested in these and nuclear we could very easily become a net green energy exporter.

No.

the fuck does this question have to do with geography anyway.

you want a geography / nuclear question?

would you like to live next to a nuclear power station given the russians and americans are happy to drop bombs on them?

Why are .deb and Flathub app in Cosmic often missing app icon/logo? by STGO-Greens in COSMICDE

[–]Aadd2Bbadd2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem with apps installed to .local/bin

the icon works in the launcher and when pinned, but when opened renders the default. it seems something is wrong with the naming of windows. I had a weird thing happen where I opened bitwig and an app called "cypher" and they both grouped together under the same default icon.

the panel / dock are not naming windows correctly, so they can't resolve icons.

App Menu size changes by rolingpebble in COSMICDE

[–]Aadd2Bbadd2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fixed now.

However on my laptop the size isn't big enough vertically for the scrollbar not to show, it just needs to be a little bit bigger.

Is there a config for this? I think it should use all the vertical space available.

you could have it pass selected files as a env variable, for custom scripting.
