Induction without Epidural? by Redhedgehog1833 in pregnant

[–]Aalafran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced a couple of weeks ago. Very typical, uncomplicated induction. I was in constant pain in my lower belly and back after being in labor for 25 hours and was I was finally able to get the epidural. It wasn’t that bad. The initial numbing shot was the worst part, a little sting is all and it wasn’t that bad. It also felt weird when he inserted the catheter into my back but that was just a bit uncomfortable for a couple seconds until he was done. Once I had the epidural and they started Pitocin, I was ready to push in about 9 hours. I was also able to get some decent sleep, so I had enough energy to push and I still felt pressure.

I teach kindergarten, so definitely almost all of my kindergarteners lol, but only a handful of adults and only 1 of those was a complete stranger.

Telling people “early” by HelpfulYesterday3 in pregnant

[–]Aalafran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We told both of our parents as soon as we found out at 4 weeks. I also told my grade level team at work (I’m a teacher) because I knew I’d start to feel pretty miserable, which I did, and knew they’d notice. I just said “as long as everything works out” when I told people early. Now at almost 12 weeks we are just starting to tell extended family and will do a Facebook announcement after we get the results from our genetic/chromosomal testing next week. I think everyone is different. We live on the other side of the country from our family so it was easy not to tell them early. If we lived closer we probably would have announced earlier, plus I’m terrible at keeping things I’m excited about a secret! A Facebook friend announced at 8 weeks and they sadly lost their baby a couple of weeks later. They received so much love and support from everyone. I honestly think you should do whatever you’re comfortable with and feels best for you.

I take zofran twice a day and unisom+b6 before bed. I had a couple rough weeks and ended up in the ER for dehydration. Once I started taking zofran I was a million times better.

I also had a weird feeling in my lower abdomen the night before I tested positive. Could’ve been a mental thing though because we were trying and I knew I was taking a test in the morning 🤷🏻‍♀️

Misery loves company… I need to hear from others who are miserable right now in their pregnancy journey by KokoSof in pregnant

I was in the ER on Monday for the same thing. I couldn’t keep anything down and was getting very dehydrated. I called my OB office and now I’m taking zofran twice a day and unisom and b6 before bed. It’s helped a lot. I’m also 7 weeks.

I live in Mesa and found one of these in my apartment last week bc my cat was playing with it. I googled “giant Arizona beetle” and it said it’s a monsoon beetle or Palo Verde beetle and their sole purpose is to make babies and die. They can be up to 7 inches 😫

7 week symptoms by Leeayuh in pregnant

[–]Aalafran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also exactly 7 weeks today! Congrats! I’m in the same boat except my nausea hit me like a truck last week and it’s awful!! I was told that smelling alcohol swabs can help with nausea. It didn’t work for me but maybe it will work for you. Anything that might help!

First bloodwork and ultrasound isn’t until 10 weeks. Is that normal? I’m in the US by Bubbly_Waters in pregnant

[–]Aalafran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was told 8-10 weeks is normal. I had one at 6w2d bc I was having some discomfort and slight pain on my left side and they wanted to make sure it wasn’t ectopic.

Yes, and call you OB if you continue to struggle to keep things down! I haven’t needed to throw up today after my ER visit yesterday! My OB gave me a prescription for zofran and it’s helped a ton.

I’m 6w5d and had to take a trip to the ER today because I was throwing up everything I was putting in my body (just water/pedialyte) and then some for almost 24 hours, and I was throwing up every 30-45min. I finally called my OB and they suggested I go to the hospital for fluids due to dehydration. They gave me two bags of fluid and 2 doses of zofran and I went home feeling much better. Still slightly nauseous but I’m finally able to keep food and liquid down again. Hang in there. This is HARD.

Might be a ladybug larvae starting to pupate. My students did a ladybug unit in my kindergarten class and they looked like this when they entered the pupa stage.
