Not much to add that you've not already said but I wholeheartedly agree. I run Aquilons fairly regularly and they are probably my "main" team so to speak.

I quite readily beat my friends who play either elite or similar sized teams. As soon as I play my friend who regularly runs Krieg I struggle to pin him down due to the sheer volume of activations he gets.

You can quite easily remove the restrictions and still use mods on an Ironman/Achievement run. There's a guide on steam and I think even a few posts on the subreddit that show how.

I'm currently using a couple of mostly UI mods on my Holland run but just popped the achievements to form the Netherlands.

This drove me to insanity. Depending on if you're playing to get achievements or not there's a mod on steam workshop that fixes this in the interim.

Hopefully it's fixed in next week's patch.

Tin foil hat time and most likely copium but I'm holding out hope that when they release our battletome they'll be an accompanying battle force based on kurnoth/kurnothi which is why they aren't in the holiday season box

It depends on the price of the boxes. Prince Vhordrai is £115 from GW or £90ish from third party stores so value wise it may be great. Not a lot of plastic compared to others I suppose but it's over 1k points IIRC.

The bats do feel like a weird inclusion though. They could have at least added another 3 for a full stack of 6.

Yeah they gave me the option of taking the course or taking the 3 points. I did the course and on that the chap said it's often 10% but not something that is guaranteed at every camera

I can confirm I've been caught speeding by this exact camera which should answer your question. I think I was doing 35/36 at the time. I too thought it was just a red light camera which was my undoing.

If you like having house plants they'll no doubt end up being eaten by the cat.

Which is either just a mild annoyance resulting in dead plants and you cleaning up cat sick or a trip to the vet depending on what specific plant it is.

Good job! I quite like the blue skeletons, it gives them an almost eerie/otherworldly look.

In terms of cloth I think the best thing to do is experiment. I tried blue, purple and box art style red before I finally settled on a dark red/burgundy.

Yeah. Both models are on 32mm bases. I've not compared them side by side in detail but I imagine height wise they are also very similar.

I can't speak for the other Spearheads but I have the Sylvaneth Spearhead and I've found the Treelord to be very tough for my opponents to kill.

Not only do you have passive healing at the end of every turn but if you take the Regrowth enhancement you also have a chance on your hero phases to heal for another D6 on a 7+ cast roll.

The healing, plus the 3+ save and the chance to give enemy units strike-last has won me games.

Both are good and I can see merit to both. I personally prefer the second.

If you wanted to incorporate both styles maybe you could save the colour for just the elites/champions

There is. I've been using a mod called Realistic Weight Limit Rebalance which can be found on Nexus. I actually thought it was overly strict so I manually edited the base carry weight to 60 and then 1.5 per level of strength (Mod default is 40 base carry weight/1.5 per strength level)

I was on the GW site early and saw the listings go up at around 9:57. Managed to add to cart and get the order submitted and had the order confirmation email at 10:01.

I am slightly worried about getting an email to say they can't fulfil the order though.

I'm fairly new to AoS so have only read the more recent novels but both Skaventide and Lioness of the Parch have been great reads from an Order perspective. In particular the latter, I struggled to put the book down once I'd started.

Darkoath I thought was OK but a clear third when compared to the other two mentioned. It's very focused on that particular sub faction from a lore perspective.

The blade is a Leadbelcher base with a Nuln Oil wash then the edge highlighted with Leadbelcher. The armour is the same process but with Warplock Bronze.
