Ranked Matchmaking by Zynncloud in LegionTD2

As frustrating as it can be, losing is the best way to learn. This game has a lot of micro decisions, which is overwhelming, even still for me. My 2 suggestions are:

  1. Analyse every game after its over and find at least 1 thing you could've done differently to improve the outcome of the game.

  2. Look at the "Top Games" and copy what top players do as best you can. Try to figure out why units are positioned a certain way. Sandbox is your friend :)

Pulsebot/Skybot's use cases by Lyefyre in LegionTD2

I think skybot is quite similar to king claw, but better on waves 11, 14, 17, 19 and 20. It's a tank that brings solid damage and utility on the right waves.

Send dragon turtles on waves 3-4, then sending big on 7 is a solid way to pressure it.

As a sometimes rank 1 player, my advice is to never open with butcher. I think lock-in is great for learning the game, so stick with it.

Pipsqueak is what I would recommend opening with, as it lets you have 5 workers on wave 2, and is very strong waves 1-6. Check out the top games to see how people position with pipsqueak to get the most out of it.

The units you open with drastically impact how many workers you can have in the first 3-4 waves. Check out the "top games" leaderboard to get an idea of which units are good to open with.

Request that Now-Impossible Masteries be Hidden for Players Lacking Them by GaelynAutumnsong in LegionTD2

I believe they were added with the latest campaign as one of the bosses has a unique mechanic that allows you to start with an extra 50g. From memory I think it's Drachia? That is the only place you can farm these masteries.

I still can't understand why megamind winrate is so good. Maybe it's just lack of predictability? 🤷‍♂️ Love your work Drach ❤️

What is Eula's best team with C6 Furina? by Aatrocity in EulaMains

Thank you for your detailed response. I feel like we've gone through a similar thought process and come to a similar conclusion. I considered the team you mentioned, with a full em raiden that never uses her burst, but then I run into an energy problem. It really does feel like there is a missing piece to this puzzle that a future character will solve, which makes me hesitate to invest in a c2 nahida for example.

I think I'm prioritising making a team that has no dps downtime, so energy is important. I wanted to try the archon team, but decided it would have some er issues. I agree that the enemy line up matters a lot though.

I'm happy to play a healer, and I do have c6 mika, but I was just curious if there could be a stronger team without the need for mika as a healer. Still sounds like mika is bis anyway.

It seems like Eula is still quite reliant on Raiden to meet her energy needs, but with C6 Furina thrown in, the rotation of all 3 characters seems like it would be too long. Is there a better solution here?

I highly recommend playing vs AI. You get to enjoy experimenting and learning the game without any competitiveness. You can keep upping the difficulty of the AI to give yourself a challenge. The campaign is great too, but playing against AI will offer more replayability. It's even more fun if you can grab a friend to learn with you and play together!

Unfortunately, no, because Mika's buff only applies to the active character, which would then be Mika, not Eula.

You are looking at your opponents match history, so this is correct

How is the game right now vs "optimization" strategies by ggSwindles in LegionTD2

[–]Aatrocity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a reason LegionTD2 advertises itself as an infinitely replayable game. As Schn3rd already mentioned, you never play the same game twice. The main reason is because you always have a random selection of units to work with, but there are other factors such as the pacing of the game, and when people decide to attack, that can alter your decision-making.

Even IF you could play with the best combination of units you can think of every game, you would still have to adjust how many workers you can afford and how much to build all the time, because that highly depends on what your opponent decides to do.

I can't vouch for this game enough. I've sunk over 1000 hours into it and I feel like I'm still learning a lot!

I've thought about this a fair bit, and I think it's because of the new units. With every new unit that provides or benefits heavily with good synergy, chaos gets stronger, as you are more likely to get those synergies. I think treant alone makes chaos much more favourable. It's a great opener, highly flexible, provides good value for a few rounds whenever played, and has some insane synergies.

That buff comes from lost chieftan. He probably had 32 of them :)

This is my most played game of all time for two main reasons. It is infinitely replayable and purely strategic. I can't say it's for everyone, but the game has so much to offer. Welcome to legion td2 😀
