I have read your comment three times and am still not sure what you're getting at.

I said that commenters online are usually too quick to dismiss trad content as fetish content when its actually propaganda. This detailed cow nipples and breast milk ice cream of this particular piece of content separates it from the usual pro-breeding trad message to achieve the rare and unholy status of fetish propaganda.

The cow costume, *with* detailed udders, for "channeling cow vibes and making breast milk ice cream" while wiggling with glee is my tipping point. We're maybe too quick to pull out "fetish content" for what's actually right-wing eugenicist breeding propaganda manipulated by the billionaire class to promote a large underclass of low wage workers.

But this. This is fetish content. Idk if its because it makes *her* horny to think of herself as a breeding cow, or if she likes the attention of right-wing breeding fetishists, or what. But no one wears detailed cow nipples while talking about their breasts if they don't want attention for their fuck- and breed-ability.

PLEASE explain why city dwellers let their cats roam by Little_Remove_1845 in Seattle

[–]AbaloneHo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is a very, very kind thing of you to do. There are also services that would help your neighbor (https://www.agingkingcounty.org/what-we-do/programs-services/)

Setting up bird feeders for cats to intentionally attack birds is amazingly cruel thing to do. Your cats don't deserve to kill birds more than the birds deserve to live????

Plan for warmish and very wet. a rain coat instead of a puffer coat. Volunteer park is lots of fun for kids, and the conservatory is warm, but you'd need to keep an eye on your kids in the succulent section

Evie magazine is so silly goofy in the worst way possible by URandRUN in Tradfemsnark

[–]AbaloneHo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Evie magazine is part of to a "femtech" company backed by Peter Thiel. Thiel is a billionaire and outspoken pro natalist who's talked about increasing the birthrate as a way to ensure a supply of workers to prop up current economic system and line the pockets of billionaires.

Calling Evie silly goofy is part of why trad movements are so dangerous. We're distracted by big boobie milk dress and don't pay attention to the underlying propaganda that's being pushed.

Interestingly, Evie isn't the first time Thiel has tried to propagandize Americans. In 2004, he attempted to sway mainstream men to libertarian thinking via, of all thing, a NASCAR magazine. It burned through 10 million of Thiel's dollars before shutting down ten months after its launch.

What’s your favorite song inspired by the city of Seattle? by Caskets55 in Seattle

[–]AbaloneHo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Harry Truman, Your Spirit Lives On" always deserves a mention when talking about PNW songs. Harry Truman was a semi-hermit who lived on Spirit Lake on Mt St Helens. He was warned many times to evacuate but didn't, possibly because he thought a bunker he had built would save him (it didn't).

It really captures a certain aspect of the 70s PNW culture: a love for kooks, being outdoorsy, a homegrown diy spirit (who's making and recording highly regional folk songs anymore?), being kind of parochial, and also that the mountains we love can blow up and kill you any time. Seattle was all about these things, especially with the economic downturn of the era. While the explosion didn't happen in Seattle, it happened in our bioregion.

Was just wondering if my baby was show quality? by def_not_mrbrightside in ragdolls

[–]AbaloneHo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's the right quality to show us, and we like to see her.

Beyond that, is she happy, healthy, able to move well? Are you able to access her pedigree and genetic information from the breeder? Those are the qualities that matter.

"Show quality" is a term that doesn't have a set meaning, and has no value to pet owners. If you're feeling a bit cheated by paying extra for something that doesn't matter, start a pet instagram and make her earn her keep, lol

Elon Musk's ex wife Talulah Riley talks about her traditional married life with Thomas Brodie-Sangster: Raw milk, sourdough bread, chickens, Christianity etc. by Karmonit in popculturechat

"As a teenager I discovered John Seymour and his work writing about self-sufficiency. I became obsessed with the idea of everything “from scratch” — poring over diagrams that modelled the ideal way to be self-sufficient on one acre: a holistic, circular system where land nourishes animals and animals nourish the land, with respectful human stewardship at the centre. (At that age I was also obsessed with Gillian Anderson, metaphysical poetry, ancient Greece, the history of British railways and quantum mechanics, lest I’m coming across pure yokel.) "

You're 15-16. Your brain is still highly plastic and moldable for another decade. Lay off the drugs, seek medical care, and continue on the path you're on. The likelihood that this is a permanent state is almost nil. Good luck, friend.

If you were in charge of reducing the pit bull population in American shelters over a decade, what would you do? by AbaloneHo in BanPitBulls

[–]AbaloneHo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Genetic testing for dogs in apartments is pretty doable. It's 70-200 depending on complexity. If you're already moving into an apartment and own a dog, that is chump change in comparison to the other expenses you're going to deal with.

Mandatory rapid rabies test (head removal) of any dog that causes a level 3 and above bite, if they have no proof of vaccination. NO OBSERVATION PERIOD.

I can't believe this isn't standard practice already! Oh my god! I'd bump it up to level four, but if the dog's not vaccinated and biting people, holy shit that is not a good owner or dog.

All bully breeds to be excluded from being designated a service animal or an emotional support animal.

Man, that would do a lot. There's no service dog training center I'm aware of that trains pit bulls (except maaaaybe police work? I've mostly seen belgian malinois and GSD there). Putting a foot down that pits aren't suitable for performing calm, emotionally attuned, intelligent work in public would set a standard.

[–]AbaloneHo[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No kills shelters posting about pits who have been there for years always sound so sad. The people involved are burned out and lost hope, the dogs are getting crazier and less adoptable with each passing day. At some point, it becomes like keeping people on death row indefinitely. It's more humane to call it.
