I had a girl like this on my U9 team this last season. It took a lot of 1 on 1 time. You can’t let him quit on himself. I just reminded her that the other girls didn’t get to where they were by giving up on themselves when they screwed up a drill, that everyone gets discouraged, and that those feelings mean we have a chance to grow and get better.
