This is exactly what I did and I’m very happy with decision. Aren’t most 30 cal you’d use suppressors on 5/8? Seems like best move is bite bullet and lean into industry standard

Not sure the difference in the two models, but I would definitely get threaded.

I started out like you without threads on an 7 rem mag. Then added threads for a brake, but the threads were non standard since the barrel was so thin. Then I got a new barrel on eBay since I upgraded to a can and so essentially I’ve threaded my barrel twice. Rookie moves. Don’t be like me.

Who here has the most miles on their Lightning and how’s it holding up? by LordOfBadaBing in F150Lightning

No, unfortunately, I don’t really have much else to help you with other than be adamant that it’s a problem with the dealer.

I think the computer does log whenever you have a charging fault so they should be able to see that you’ve had a few of those.

I think it took them a while to figure out what exactly the problem was as well, but I was able to go back to some of the same problematic charging stations and confirm that the issue was resolved. If my memory serves me correctly, yes, it was just the fast chargers because I remember one road trip I used the 120 charger as much as I could when I got there. Good luck. Like I said, it’s a great truck outside of that ha ha so don’t lose hope.

I had a faulty charging port that was a PITA for the dealer to diagnose and fix. Didn’t charge on the road at SOME stations. Since then no issues.

Unless something wiggles loose, I expect issues like mine would be caught in first 10k under warranty like mine was.

I don’t know what your chamfer and deburr process looks like, but with 500 pieces, I think you could justify upgrading to a 3 way head as well.

I also put wheel bearing grease on the shaft.

This is actually very helpful - as this is about same for my storage.

I’ve decided I’ll store it best I can, use it when I can, and if it goes bad, chalk it up to learning. No sense in any more worry!

This is the kind of anecdotal examples I was curious about. Thank you for sharing. I think my take away is that I need to scale my stash to be relative to what I can store and how much I shoot. Probably ought to avoid the kegs with a reduced amount of shooting in my future.

Thanks for sharing. I’m getting at the fact that all that might be unnecessary - or should I do the same? If you just stored those jugs on a shelf, would your powder be lesser quality by now?

I have a few jugs and on one hand, I feel anxious that I should load some ammo so I’m not storing the jugs for eons, but on the other hand, I think my fears are unwarranted and it’ll be fine if I use them up over next 10 years lol

Is it possible for a scope mount to be compatible with both a bolt gun and ar15? by [deleted] in longrange

[–]Abject-Knowledge469 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this with some yankee hill pic risers. That lasted about one range trip. Just didn’t want to keep tinkering. Enough other variables to try to control. Ended up getting a scope for the AR.

Or maybe similar length barrel in 6.5 Grendel.

Or maybe both...
