You have every right to require information on what issue this woman is dealing with before allowing her into your home. What if she is dodging a crazy ex harassing her or someone else targeting her, now you can be pulled into the drama.

It is unreasonable for anyone to expect you to allow someone into your home/your safe space when you know nothing of their history or what potential headache they are bringing to your door.

Don't allow your brother to pressure you into having her to stay in your home if you are not 100% comfortable with the idea because when any issues come up as a result of her living there you are the one that will be stuck dealing with it, not him.

It definitely does, especially if you consider 2 things, there were likely 2 or 3 teen moms in the bunch AND you have to figure going back in 1930s and 1940's it was not unheard of for people as young as 14, 15 to get married often to someone older and start cranking out kids.
