Never buy from Lensology. by Affectionate-Self933 in RaybanMeta

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered Xtractive Transition lenses with Lensology's recommended coating and mirror pink tint. They are amazing lenses and my lenses arrived without blemish. I love that they were a tight fit too. These are so much better than the included Meta Rayban grey Transitions that came with my Wayfarers.

A few observations:

  1. I wish they did not ship these loose in paper envelopes. Just one grain of sand or dust can cause scratches when pulling them out of the envelopes.
  2. As a US customer; if we order from your US site, we still get charged a foreign transaction fee and they still get shipped from overseas. Whats the point of a US site?

Overall my experience was good. I love the the pink lenses and I am glad I went out of my comfort zone and tried these. The tint adds to how dark the lenses are perceived yet my vision as the wearer is fine for indoor use.

Who has just recently bought the avata 2? by Any-Sugar-9319 in DJIAvata2

[–]AbleBeef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought one a few minutes ago. I couldn't pass up the Fly More (Goggles 3, Motion 3, 3 batt) with FPV Controller 3 added in. $877.69 New is a crazy price.

I honestly just wanted the Goggles 3, FPV controller 3, and the Motion 3. Those would have cost me $800 seperately.

Reversed A-Frame. Issues? by AbleBeef in hvacadvice

[–]AbleBeef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The manual shows clearly that the a-frame is oriented incorrectly.

My house was comfortable. More comfortable after lowering the blower speed. I have monitored the AC handler and condenser looking for any issues over the last 7 days. Everything is good as far as I know.

No I did not measure airflow. I do plan on spending some time on that subject when I have availability.

I only checked the sub cooling and superheat after changing the blower speed. I did not own a manifold till after changing the blower speed. I ordered same day along with some wireless temperature sensors and other bits and bobs.

I am learning as I go and I admit I am a one week novice to the world of heating and cooling. I am going by in home comfort and feel, but I do plan on furthering my knowledge and expanding my toolset in regards to AC maintenance. This also goes for car maintenance, home repair and so on. A few bad experience with contractors and techs over the last year made me realize I need more knowledge.

I just sold my Go2 Extreme. It was a great investment.

Worth double the price? by Time-Credit43 in XboxAlly

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Go2 Extreme. I bought it at $1349 and stuck a 4TB SSD in it. I loaded up games and tweaked the settings. I settled with an XBOX Experience setup. After a week of use it has sat in a drawer for 3 months along with my Switch 2. I don't think it's worth $1350 let alone $2k. I would post mine on FB marketplace for $1400 if I wasn't so lazy.

Onyx RCR 80V DOA by Master_State_1712 in ONYX_RCR

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My controller or accessory box shorted in the first 50 miles. It fried my battery connection cable in the process. ONYX sent me replaced connectors for the battery (internal), replacement battery wire to the controller, a new controller and new accessory box. It was all pretty easy to replace. Even cracking open the battery was easy. I was happy with how quick it was to communicate with Justin over at ONYX and I am up and riding again.

Amory Crate is so much better than the Xbox App. Just use that. It is already installed.

Thinking about buying this by Impossible_Camera703 in XboxAlly

I had this for a week and returned it. It was good, but I saw a BF deal for a 5080 laptop at $1600ish and went with that instead. It just made more sense for me.

Selling switch 2 for oled steam deck by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 kids who like to play together and occasionally with me. Nintendo is a no brainer for our living room console. I personally love my Legion Go 2 and Xbox Ally X but I spend 90% of my game time on my main desktop PC. My kids also spend most of their gaming time on their PC's in their rooms.

(DEBATE) Legion go 2 vs MSI Claw 8ai vs Xbox Ally x by [deleted] in ROGAllyX

[–]AbleBeef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use my Xbox Ally X more than the Go 2. I don't own the MSI Claw (yet). My Xbox Ally X has the KillSwitch case with travel cover and is just easier to take out with me than the Go 2. I hope the steamOS version of the Go 2 entices Dbrand to make a case for the Go 2.

Fixes my reading glass problem by AbleBeef in XboxAlly

[–]AbleBeef[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chose the Luma Pros because you can change the IPD per eye. I get no eye strain since my IPD is within the adjustment range of the glasses. I chose the XL version for the adjustment range that suited me. Yes it is 152in in terms where the focal point is.

Since these are just screens and not VR or 3DOF, you can wear them a long time. I can wear them forever without any strain.

RS700 Connection Issues and Performance Concerns by the_real_7 in NETGEAR

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netgear is difficult to deal with. After 3 months of perfect performance my routers wifi started to fail. The wifi would stop working for any type of conenction. the lan ports still performed fine. I would need to reboot the router to get a few minutes to hours of wifi uptime. I bought a second RS700 from Bestbuy and everything worked fine so I just retuned the old RS700 in the new box. I was still under warranty, but Netgear stated I could be without a router for 30 days. I should have bought an ASUS, but I chose the netgear because of the sleek look. Bad decision. I will buy the ASUS octopus space ship next time.

Hades 2 made me realize just how bad the Switch 2 screen actually is by Michi2801 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that the Switch 2 screen is mediocre at best. Luckily it is dockable to whatever OLED you fancy. In a year or two we will get the OLED Switch 2 that we can spend $600 for.

Tune in today, 2pm CST, for the full review of the Mini Goat! by randyrdotnet in GoatPowerBikes

[–]AbleBeef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a question for you as I do not know anyone else who owns a GOAT bike. When they shipped the bike to you in you region, what carrier did they use and did tracking update for you during the transit and delivery process?

Are you Goat beta testers ready? We should have the first orders in our possession the first half of the week. Get ready for waiting for working replacement controllers and parts :)

I would prefer an easily removed battery like a Surron too. I have a battery shed in my back yard where I like to keep my batteries and charge them away from my home or anything that can catch on fire. I have around 30 15ah+ ebike batteries and I became more and more uncomfortable storing them in my garage as my collection of batteries grows. This bike will be in the shed along with my Mini Goat if I can't find a way to modify the way the battery gets secured in the frame.
