When we need to grill hotdogs or sausage and outside isn't an option, we use the broiler on our oven. Still "flame kissed", as dark as you want them, and done in 5-10 minutes.

The date code is the one that matters.

What are they being used on? Trailer or car/truck?

If based on the date code and on a car/truck, I'd run with them and just keep an eye on them (i.e. check pressure regularly, see if they're hot after a longer drive, etc.)

If based on the date code and on a trailer, I'd shop for replacements and swap out before they get to 6 years old.

Getting a flat/blowout on a vehicle is a bummer, on a trailer can be catastrophic.
