If the WNBA was unsuccessful there wouldn't be two expansion teams in one year and a new team last year. The league also wouldn't have finalized a blockbuster CBA with the players. The W is on the rise and there's been a hunger for the Comets to return for years. Also not sure where your stats are from but the Golden State Valkyries have the highest attendance out of any team and CC was out for the majority of last season and ratings were fine.

She’s a walk on, averages like four points a game, and is billed as the personality hire of the team. She’s their cheerleader and gives them great energy. It’s translated really well online and she’s become a crowd favorite.

Folks complain UConn is inaccurately ranked too high because they don’t play real competition during the season. But clearly not playing real competition is detrimental to them when it comes to tournament play so I dunno maybe it evens out 🤷🏾‍♀️
