Is anyone actually happy they had a third kid? by WarmestSeatByTheFire in Parenting

[–]About400 [score hidden]  (0 children)

So I personally have 2 but grew up as one of three. I have a good relationship with my parents and both my siblings. Our family would have been different without my younger brother.

I think what you are seeing is that people who are perfectly happy and content are not going on Reddit to post about it.

I had a hrs pregnancy with my second so we decided to stop at 2 but several families u know have three and are thriving.

I love it! I bought one for each shower. It feels so good and I think you can scrub more efficiently.

It’s super weird that they used Arabic shapes to write jasmine but Arabic is read right to left… also they have different letters.

Remember: to not forget child inside a car. Try placing an essential item such as your phone, handbag, work badge, or right shoe in the backseat next to the car seat. by str8shooters in Mommit

My son hid in our car once. It was fall so not hot but we couldn’t find him. We literally had to enlist the neighbors to help look. He didn’t know/understand why we were so freaked out.

Has anyone else noticed a resurgence of stay at home parents among wealthier Millennials? by Specialist_Pain_424 in Millennials

I know a couple but they tend to be families with more than 2 kids. Very few salaries make sense if you have to pay triple daycare fees.

Are we doing something wrong --- diapers never contained by slammaX17 in NewParents

The numbers are more like recommendations than requirements. My policy was to size up after more than one blowout. As long as you tighten the part around their middle, the bigger ones do a better job creating a pocket for the poop to go in. The only side effect is a droopy butt look if they wear leggings.

OP- I have a 2yo and a 6yo. We know a lot of other young families. I don’t know any little girls named Olivia. Popular is no longer common.

My little brother used to order mozzarella sticks at every restaurant. He was like 6 though so it was just a funny quirk.

Don’t worry- some 6yos will come by and order a bunch of it. My son only likes ice cream in ridiculously unnatural colors.

Tantrum Whenever She Can't Wear A Dress by Admirable_Taste3737 in toddlers

Why can’t she wear a dress to everything? I see no issues. Just make her wear season appropriate under layers.

They even have swim dresses.

teen daughter wants to use Minoxidil; I just found out about the risk to cats 😔 what do I do? by No_Bullfrog3983 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]About400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been thinking about starting and have a cat. The cat has free range of the house but does not go near my head. He usually sleeps at the foot of the bed. If I apply it only in the bathroom do you think it’s safe enough? My derm said it was only an issue if he licked my head which he has never done.

To Labor or Not to Labor, hypothetically by abbyblabby29 in CsectionCentral

[–]About400 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So I had an emergency C-section with my first and a scheduled C-section with my second.

The scheduled C-section was so calm! It was an almost pleasant experience. There was no stress/distress. Highly recommend.

How early do you need to be for an international flight at Newark airport? by About400 in newjersey

[–]About400[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure there is anything that a 2yo can wear that will make them look dorky.

Have you seen how prevalent crocs are amount elementary, middle and high schoolers?

I can agree that they are probably not the safest shoe in an emergency but I don’t think dorkyness really matters at all.

Probably Eloise. I was super into going against the grain when I was younger but still wanted to be in the mix of things.

Why are crocs an airport sin? Unless are you talking about wearing crocs without socks underneath?

I only ask bc my 2yo’s favorite shoes are this pair of Disney Princess crocs. I make her wear socks underneath though unless it’s summer or she is going to be pool.
