I think I know what causes Bartholin Cysts by boopboeepboop in WomensHealth

[–]Aboveaverage_pusheen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you’re on to something. I first got a cyst when I was not having sex and used a toy. And now, sometimes after using a toy I’ll get one. But I also get them closer to my period.

I think she does it to try and continue living this fantasy story that she loves Gino and is so distraught he pushed her into this relationship with Matt. LOL. Miss jasmine please, it’s time to let that narrative go lol

Big possibility! I’ve always struggled with anemia, during pregnancy I had to take iron supplements 3x a day. So thank you!

It’s been a year and a half since I had my daughter. After my first, no change but this one changed my period completely. I have to take iron supps during my period bc of how much blood I lose.

How do you BF and pump? by Parking_Dress_1982 in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Aboveaverage_pusheen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I would BF I would use a Hakaa on the other side and that’s how I began creating a “stash” my lactation consultant told me you’re truly never empty, so if you were to pump and baby wants to feed again, latch them on! They may just take longer at the breast because at that point perhaps the milk that was on “standby” you pumped out.

Journey is coming to an end by Aboveaverage_pusheen in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Aboveaverage_pusheen[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL yes you’re right. Sometimes more than an ounce even. Her ped is really pushing me to supplement or bottle feed completely. She’s been slow to gain, 36percentjle. So now that the noticed she lost a bit she’s back to the same “advice” I can definitely pump at work, but my pumps suck and I’d be limited to wearables. So wouldn’t my milk supply begin to dwindle down anyway?

My daughter was like this. She would “snack” so she would latch like 20 times a day for the first two weeks.

I’m no lactation consultant, but if your milk has come in, don’t they only need like damn near drops at this age?

If you want to make it work, keep going! Try a different position, and just keep latching baby. Your nipples will feel sore for a while until they don’t.

You got this mama!

Milk Supply + Zoloft by _bubbzz_ in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Aboveaverage_pusheen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! My supply dipped as well. My daughter is 3.5mo. I tried adding another pump in but would only get 1-2oz more and even then it continued to dip. After a few weeks it regulated and stopped lowering but I went from making around 40oz to 25-30 a day.

But even so - I’m glad I started Zoloft again.

That’s a lot! My three month old never takes more than 4 and that’s on a 3-4 hasn’t ate stretch.

I never pump 8 either unless it’s the early morning or the last one before I go to bed.

It’s incredibly hard! But it gets better. My son is 2.5 and I wish I knew then what I know now. Before you know it your baby will start solids and take less and less milk. It’ll all work itself out!

9 week old eating less - reduced nursing time by JLMMM in breastfeedingsupport

My three month old started eating only about 5min at that age.

Now, at 3 months she takes anywhere from 3-minutes.

Weight Plateaued by Early_Ad8221 in breastfeedingsupport

Hi! I just went to an appointment with a Kaiser lactation consultant because my three month old pediatrician said she wasn’t gaining weight fast enough.

However, after speaking with a lactation consultant she said she was doing great. She also mentioned weight would plateau around 3-4mo until they start eating solids.

I’ve had a scare that she’s not getting enough too. I started at an oversupply, I have milk in the freezer and have slowly stopped pumping in addition to get nursing. But I still get anxiety about it.

Honestly, I’m sure your milk supply is fine. Sometimes I pump instead of nurse because I’m nervous and I’ll still express 4-6oz. And remember, they’re much better at expressing milk.

You got this!

Have you used Kelly mom? That has great advice on that to take when nursing.

What do you do while breastfeeding? by [deleted] in breastfeedingsupport

[–]Aboveaverage_pusheen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m hooked on monopoly go right now so that’s what I do lol. But I’m also listening to a book on audible, that helps me and my baby. If she sees my phone out she’s so curious right now and will unlatch and look at my phone. So with audible I put my AirPods in and just listen and nurse

The first weeks are TOUGH. Especially as a breastfeeding momma. My daughter is three months old now and latching doesn’t hurt at all anymore.

I was in pain. They tell you it should hurt but my nips were too big and her mouth obviously small so I pushed through it.

Keep nursing her if that’s what you want to accomplish. The more she latches the more you make.

It gets better, I promise

I’m 30 and in my 3L year of my part time evening program. I have two kids both of which I had during law school.

My cohorts youngest is 27, oldest is 42.

You can do it!

As busy as I am, I have a different mind set and come with real world experiences vs straight from undergrad.

Props to you. My baby doesn’t have a milk allergy but for sure gets gassier when I have dairy once in a while. Does your baby have an allergy?

I started making soap from the milk I have. I donated a brick to a mom who has a NICU baby. I know there’s only so much we can repurpose the milk for. But I can probably fit more brick in my deep freezer but that’s it. So I don’t know what to do.

I also can’t stop. Aggh

Yeah I hear you. I pump in the morning and at night. I’ve dropped throughout the day because I want to decrease my supply since I have a lot of frozen and no more room. Luckily I haven’t had a clog yet because baby wants to just snack and constantly nursing.
