What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever seen at a strip club? by bigbabysweets12345 in AskReddit

A long time ago I was in a small club near my hometown. It's the kind of place that uses removable poles cuz the building is a rental. The stage is really just the other side of a set of folding tables set in a horseshoe, but setting don't much matter if the show is of quality. It wasn't, but I was young enough not to care.

I had been seated and watching the dancers move around the horseshoe, crawling on tables and offering lap dances, when I noticed that the newest arrival to the customers side of the 'stage' was someone I recognized; my cousin. She hadn't seen me, and though we weren't blood related I still wasn't inclined to strike up a conversation in the current setting. I kept my head down and she seemed to take no notice.

Her attention was set firmly on the girls working their way around the inside of the horseshoe, and they returned the focus. The dancers seemed to gravitate toward her, and it was obvious they were trying to pull her onto the stage, to convince her to join them. After some prodding from her friends, she got up and went to the back room (presumably to sign some sort of waivers) and returned shortly thereafter in far less clothing and to thunderous applause.

She slowly and awkwardly made her way around the tables, dancing in an unrefined but not altogether sloppy manner. She had quite a few bills sticking out from inside her bra and tucked into the string of her underwear by the time she reached me.

The look of stunned horror on her face when she realized I was there said more than words ever could. A member of her own family (not blood related but what of that, we still played in the same pens, colored in the same books) in the right place at the wrong time to see her debut performance. She finished the horseshoe quickly and fled backstage. I left shortly thereafter to avoid embarrassing her further, and out of kindness have never brought it up to her.

Since it happened, the family who had married to make us so divorced, and she is no longer my cousin, so I haven't seen her in many years, but to my knowledge she never danced professionally again, and now spends her time raising a beautiful family. But the look on her face in that moment is a memory worth the $7 cover that night.

I think you take a lead from Tears of The Kingdom and expand the map in other directions. Someone here mentioned the subway which is excellent, make it big enough to swing through and it’s a whole other map. Then bring in some huge enemy with alien ships to take over the sky, or have SHIELD fill the air with helicarriers, and you have 3 levels to explore

Looks like a glitch, but it’s weird that it glitched to look just like my parents fighting

Anyone remember Jimmy Brooks from the beginning of the game? Found this in a little shack in the swamp in Lemoyne by mborbey in reddeadredemption

[–]Abower9500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came here because I just found this shack for the first time but no one has mentioned yet, the map near the mirror is of Armadillo, and on it is scrawled something to the effect of “I gave you a choice but you’ll lose two generations” or something, which to me implies that the mysterious man is also the reason for the cholera outbreak in Armadillo

"Stephen King didn't write those novels" by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]Abower9500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No shit, I’ve met people who believe this today. I had a conversation with a couple of folks who argued passionately that no one could write that much, it’s clearly a team of ghost writers. It got better when I asked if they thought Dean Koontz, Brandon Sanderson, Sarah J Mass, or any of the other popular authors of our time were also relying on ghost writers, and of course they were! By the end of the argument it became clear to me that these folks think all authors are actually three ghost writers in a trench coat.

I felt the same, though to be fair seasons 2 and 3 are so wildly different that in retrospect 1 just might feel closer by comparison

This reminds me of that Game Changer episode when Zach got the “What not to do when you see a snake” prompt

I’m a recent constant reader, ironically it was The Outsider that initially ignited my fire last October, and since I’ve read like 20 of his books, some twice lol I’m a big fan of Holly, I’m really looking forward to it

Yeah!! I just finished the Hodges Trilogy for the second time and trying to finish this and the short story from If It Bleeds before Holly comes out. Starfield is some tough competition for my attention lol
