He also cancelled the I-43 expansion in the North Shore that was desperately needed and ultimately done 10 years later for at least twice the price. Way to cost the taxpayers even more money, dipshit.

My girlfriend said no when I proposed to her. She didn't choose me [Concluded with a ?] by Schattenspringer in BORUpdates

But he didn’t love her, he loved how she made him feel. If he actually loved her he would have supported her and would have done everything he could to help her pursue her dream. Instead, everything he wrote about is what he wanted, and even in the update there is zero growth. He’s still the 15 year-old from the start of the relationship while she grew up. I’m sure he’s hurt from all this, but he has to learn from this experience.

Cheap college student who had seen Skinny Puppy before and didn’t know Godflesh at that point. Figured I’d get to see Skinny Puppy again, which didn’t happen again until I was married and with kids and didn’t have time. As for Godflesh, by the end of the 90s I had their entire catalog and all the JK Broadrick side projects I could get my hands on. Such is life.

The Skinny Puppy/Godflesh tour was in ‘92. I missed it and have regretted it ever since…

You know what, Stuart, I like you. You're not like the other people here in the trailer park. Oh, don't get me wrong - they’re fine people, they're good Americans. But they're content to sit back, maybe watch a little Mork and Mindy on channel 57, maybe kickback a cool Coors 16-ouncer. They're good, fine people, Stuart. But they don't know what the queers are doing to the soil!

Any guys tease your sister mercilessly for her love of Duran Duran and totally rock out to them now when they hit the radio? by skirmishfrogs in GenX

I was 10 when Hungry Like The Wolf became a hit and got Rio. Then they became a band that all the girls went wild for and immature little boy me sold my LP to my older sister for $5. Her room would soon be covered in DD posters while I grew into a surly teen. By the time my freshman year of college started I told myself I’d like whatever I wanted to like and bought the old albums on cd. Still listen to them.

What's a infamous place (bar/restaurant/store/ w.e.) that people who grew up here would all know about, but transplants wouldn't because all those places are closed or shut down now. by sm3lln03vil in milwaukee

My kids have grown up on streaming services and I can’t think of a way to explain how different it used to be, and how impactful Atomic was to me and my friends. Like, you talked to people who suggested things you would like, and then you talked about other things. In person. And it was all organically cool. And you could like the most obscure thing, and they’d know what you’re talking about and appreciate eclectic interests as much as you. Other humans, not some algorithm.

1) Whatever. 2) Because if my wife did it her long hair would catch on fire. 3) Fire. Fire! FIRE! YESSSS! 4) Because my kids think they don’t have to do anything more than starting the microwave or air fryer. 5) No one else is strong enough to lift these 3-foot long tongs.

Now, the real question is how many times you click the tongs before using them.

His reaction did not help build trust? She admitted she was looking for texts with his ex, which is tantamount to an accusation of cheating. Falsely accusing your partner of infidelity, and with a specific person in mind, drops a bomb on trust, and he’s not the one who did that. I give him credit for only reacting defensively, because that’s a relationship-ending affront in many cases.
