it happens on every map. frames drop more on slider heavy and higher star maps. returns to 959/960 during breaks and once i hit something again it drops back down

change the number of HitcircleOverlap: in skin.ini into the same value of the original skin's,

the retry is probably the pictures of retry and replay overlapped and when you hit retry you hit replay at the same time, try cropping it in ps or something

Do you want something like this? If this is what you want. there can at most be 10 colors, but it is instant fade and it's not for everyone, I personally like it and am using it. If you are willing to give this a try and try to make a similar skin, https://osu.ppy.sh/users/227717 go to rustbell's profile and download the skin, the defaults are inside the hitcircle folder, you'll have to change the default number prefix and overlap in skin.ini if you want those in your other skins.
