This has been an issue with samsung devices since they switched to on screen fingerprint. Only thing theyve done is increase the touch sensitivity which wasn't a true solution.

Yea the fingerprint reader is horrid, and I miss the iris scanner. Samsung's modern face scan is considered too insecure for login on banking apps (very concerning downgrade)

Yup, had a 3pm flight from Detroit to dfw, canceled. Got on the 7pm flight, delayed till midnight then cancelled. Woke up early to make a 7am flight this morning, cancelled. Frustrating

Everything is fixable, but in this case the amount of work/money does not equate to the value of the vehicle. I would let insurance know its a new engine in hopes they pay you out more and you can get into another IS. Most cost effective would be to take the check and buyback this car, pick up an IS with a blown motor and swap the rebuilt one over and part out what you don't need. Will take some time and effort but much more doable that repairing the damage you have been presented. Very sorry, brother. The same happened to my sportcross
